"Excellent as this gentleman replaced our water heater and took the extra step and advised that the required gas valve was not up to code standards. He then changed out the valve in an expedient manner and provided a very reasonable price."

"They did an excellent job and I was very pleased. The plumber who came out was Darrel. He found the proper faucet for my old bathtub. He picked it up and installed it. He was professional and it looks beautiful. It works great and I would definitely use them again."

"They are punctual and responsive. They provide estimates when requested. With respect to the bathroom remodel, they stayed on the estimate for the rough-out plumbing. However, they refused to honor the estimate for finish work due to "difficulty" installing a standard sink faucet. Nonetheless, they completed the work, and we were satisfied with the job. With respect to the leaking drain pipe, they were unable to provide an estimate of repairs until doing the job. They made a bigger mess than what was already there, and it took several hours to cut out a section of cast iron pipe and install a new sleeve to stop the leak. The charge for the work was $900, and I feel I was taken advantage of given the amounts I have spent for other plumbing services. However, they offered a payment plan, which was a plus given the unexpected nature of the problem"

"<p>Scheduled to replace the my garbage disposal for a Thursday.  He called to reschedule due to weather restrictions from another job.  Tried to set up for a Friday afternoon, which was a very limited time frame for me.  He did not respond until an hour after our scheduled time. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Although he was very nice and seemed prepared, I was disappointed with the scheduling.</p> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Orange, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
