"We recently had work done on our floor tiles and grout, and shower caulking and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Zach handled the job in a very professional manner and was clearly skilled at what he did. Zach took the time to meticulously clean every section of tile and grout, and the caulking repair was done with precision and care. The difference in my floors is incredible—they look fresh, bright, and like new again. Zach was also extremely courteous, explained what he was doing, and made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving. Zach performed exceptional service from start to finish. I would highly recommend Zach from Grout Medic to anyone in need of tile and grout cleaning or caulking work."

"We had marble counter-tops and bathroom shower stalls to clean, polish and seal. The effort and quality of work was excellent. Zuka is the owner. He did all the work himself over a two-day span working non-stop. In addition to grout repair, he removed and re-caulked all of the surfaces."

"We have had couple of issues, and we have not been able to get in touch with them. I just hope they are still in business. Adam was a great guy. He is a very thoughtful and conscientious person. He worked well within our schedule. He gave us lots of time to get things moving around. He explained what he was going to do very well. There were a couple of things that were going to cost a little extra. He did those and they were very carefully done. Adam is very good in terms of craftsmanship and flooring. This is the second time we have used them. We specifically went looking for him because he did such a nice job with the upstairs last time. He was very reasonable. My question is about the products that he used. I think they may not have been of the same quality that he used the first time. I am seeing some rare issues with the wood. There are a couple of parts that are bubbling up. I am wondering if the product he used may be of less quality compared to what he used the first time. I have questions about the finishing he did. Everything with him was good and cordial. He was very courteous and professional."

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Orland Park, IL

Sealing grout delivers excellent value by creating a moisture barrier that prevents water penetration, staining, and deterioration. Unsealed grout becomes a magnet for dirt and moisture, which can lead to discoloration, mold growth, and eventual breakdown of the grout structure. Regular sealing maintenance creates a protective barrier that not only preserves your tile's appearance but also simplifies routine cleaning and extends the overall lifespan of your installation.

When combining professional grout cleaning with sealing services, expect to pay between $3 and $4 per square foot for challenging surfaces like natural stone or heavily soiled areas. This comprehensive approach ensures your grout is thoroughly cleaned before sealer application, maximizing the effectiveness and longevity of the treatment. The cleaning process removes embedded dirt and contaminants that might otherwise become sealed into the grout, providing superior long-term results.

Certain grout formulations, particularly epoxy-based products, come with built-in moisture resistance that eliminates the need for additional sealing. These specialized grouts naturally repel water and resist staining without supplemental treatment.

Additionally, if your existing grout still demonstrates good water-beading properties from previous sealing, immediate reapplication may be unnecessary. Professional contractors evaluate your specific grout type, condition, and location before making recommendations about sealing requirements.

An average DIY grout sealing project for a 160-square-foot area requires about three hours, though this timeline can extend significantly for first-time applicators or challenging spaces. Professional contractors can complete the same area in two to five hours, depending on project complexity and required preparation. The experience gap often shows in application consistency and efficiency, with professionals delivering more uniform coverage in less time than most homeowners can achieve, especially on initial attempts.
