My water heater pilot light would not stay lit, starting on a Saturday night and I was able to schedule a non-emergency appointment for Monday right then. The technician was very prompt, courteous and professional. He was able to measure that their was no voltage coming from the thermopile and determine that the part needed was either the thermopile assembly kit or the gas valve assembly. He also was able to help me look up the warranty information, show that my water heater was under warranty for parts still and the number to call to order the part. We drained our water heater ourselves, and from there our HVAC/Furnace family member was able to install the new parts, check for leaks, refill, and start up the water heater with no problems in under 2 hours. While the customer service from Flow-Rite was very good, the high priced estimate was very unreasonable. The initial service call was worth $50, but I would not call them again based on their service prices.
