"M.E.V. Outdoor Solutions provided exceptional customer service and an outstanding finished project. My small townhome patio was constructed under an existing deck with steps and the workmanship in fitting around the various obstacles is stellar. I would definitely recommend and hire again."

"Very happy we found this company, did a great job on our pavers and new pathway from our driveway. They also managed to fit us in on a short timeframe and we were able to have everything done before our daughter’s birthday. Very polite, professional, and a fair price."

"This will be an honest review. Upon making a deposit for the project in May, it took a month the deliver materials to the day. The project took 2 and a half days to complete. My deck was off the second floor and had the rains cape/under deck material. It is about 180 sqft. There were three guys building my project. A month after completion, it rained and the problems began. The soffit finish on the underside filled with water and from the weight of the water burst open. I contacted Wayne right away. His response was that I would have to wait until my neighbor had his deck built for the guys to come out and fix it! Amazing how someone who has already paid is just shrugged off for 3-4 weeks. The guys return and trample through my yard to build my neighbors deck and reluctantly admit they need to address my project.. AFTER they re done with my neighbors project. I even let them stage material under my deck for my neighbor. They administered a quick fix and just caulked the underside. I highly doubt this with last very long and hope the guys are prepared to come out annually to fix the issue. I don t recommend hiring this contractor unless you re just getting a deck without the under material. Deposit was made mid May and they were at my house doing repairs in August. Overall I have a deck, which is what I wanted but the quality of work was not great and the customer service was subpar. There s never enough time to do it right but there is always time to do it again Thank you for reading my review!;"

"Shawn and his team were spectacular. The team was pleasant and polite -not something you usually find in this trade. Shawn took or returned every call promptly. They removed walls to make the main bath larger, also between kitchen and dining room. Shawns got an eye for design as well as construction. I love how he took my ideas, which were only half formed, finished them out and made them in to a reality. It went so well, we hired them for the phase two. They took down an old porch and put in a new screened in porch, and extend the master bedroom by 14 feet. I had other contractors in the house at the time. Creative Equity Builders worked with or around other contractors on the property. I didn’t have them do floors, blinds or custom shelving, but they were kind and professional enough to work around and with those other contractors to make my job a success. The job ran over a few weeks, but it was due to snow, and they couldn’t help that. Over all, we are thrilled with our ‘new’ home. We’ll add a cooking center to the porch and a larger bathroom on the lower level next year, and Shawn will be the first call we make. We love our dream home. Would be happy to show our home to potential customers, if you’d like to see his work before you commit."

"We chose The Outdoor Connection because we had seen the high quality of their work done at our church, they were A rated in Angie's List, and they were a local business with many years of experience. They came when promised and were flexible working around the weather (snowfall). They were flexible with the design (during early phase of the work) so we got what we wanted. They cleaned up when complete."

"I would highly recommend Kenwood Kitchens and Bath. We had removed the existing shower stall, but soon realized that the project was beyond our do-it-yourself talents. Steve saved us lots of time and energy and after the selections were made at the Columbia show room, the project moved along well. Within one week, the plumber, tile man, and shower doors were installed. No messy clean up for me, and Perfection! Very happy with the results."

"Outdoor Solutions, although pricey, was well worth it! Tom and his crew were professional in all regard...from his responsiveness when I initially called, the initial site survey, and the presentation of the plan, Tom was very thorough, responsive, and knowledgeable. <br /> . Once started, Tom' crew was there every day. They are all full time employees who were very diligent and courteous, They cleaned up after themselves each night, and left the job site in good order, <br /> Everyone from my neighbors to my mail man, and people walking by have told me how great the new stone work is, and I have to agree! I would certainly use Outdoor Solutions again, and have recommended them to my neighbor! <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Parkville, MD

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
