"Jake came out to our home and was ever so kind to sit down and talk with us about replacing our windows. He even brought a window with him to show us up front what they are like and how great they are. He explained everything in great detail to us about the company, the installation, and the windows. After his explanation, we wouldn’t choose any other window but from Universals Windows Direct. We are so pleased with our choice going with Universal Windows Direct. Thanks to Jake for his help!"

"Our experience was WONDERFUL. Tom was very professional, provided us with a quote in-house, and accurately projected the costs and timing for complete window replacement. The quote was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than any other quote we had received (we had 3 other estimates done). The windows themselves are high-quality Alside double-hung vinyl windows including one large picture window in our living room. The installers were professional and very hardworking. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job in even less than the time frame they had projected. They managed the work well and left very little for us to clean after they finished. The windows are beautiful and have already reduced our cooling and heating bills. We would (and have) recommended Tom and Just Windows to anyone who is considering replacing their windows."

"easonable priceSeal were broken on side picture windows and all clouded.  Replaced thermopane glass on both sides.  When replacing nicked one window so there was a tiny crack in upper left hand corner that I would have never noticed.  Immediately told me about it and apologized for inconvenience of having to come back in a week to replace with another new pane at no charge. This is second job in past year.  Also replaced all mirrored doors to my bathroom cabinets at very reasonable price. <br /> HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... honest, reasonable and very clean when replacing product. <br />"

"The second job was a bit more frustrating. The caulking around the trim was a bit sloppy even after the redid it around the front door and the whole process took a little too long. The storm door that we got was not what we were expecting but we decided to keep it anyway (mostly to avoid more hassle). Overall, I would recommend them for windows, but not much else."

"It went very well. It was a difficult installation because the previous owner had tarred the windows shut. Dave did a good job and got the work done in a timely manner. There was a hole that he patched and didn't charge extra. We ordered the windows on a Thursday and they were installed the next Tuesday. I would use them again and recommend their service."

"The team from Universal Window Cleaning was outstanding! I own a home built in 1890 that was vacant for 15 years before I acquired it. You could hardly see out of the windows. These guys were extremely professional. They took great care of things inside as well as outside of my home. Beautiful job! The best part is the sun can now shine inside my home. Thank you Universal Window Cleaning."

"I stopped in at South Hills Hardware afternoon of Thursday Feb 03, 2012. Spoke to their plumber, Tony Horvath. Explained I wanted to replace a 40-year old standard toilet with a new one, of the kind that is a few inches higher than the old one (ADA compliant). I was quoted a preliminary price estimate of $450.00. I agreed.  They offered to come out the very next morning to install the new toilet. As I had a meeting in the morning, they agreed to come out at 1:00 pm.  They called me at home at 12:30 to verify it was okay for Tony to come out. Tony arrived a few minutes before 1pm. He removed the old toilet, cleaned off the old wax ring and cleaned the floor. He installed a new wax ring, water supply line with shut off, floor bolts, and the new toilet and toilet seat. Entire job took around 30-40 minutes.  Tony left the area sparkling clean. Final charge was $450.00, exactly the preliminary estimate I was given in the store. The new toilet is an American Standard Kadet 3 model."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Parma, OH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
