"This is probably the best and most responsive service provider I have ever dealt with in Charlottesville.  I have dealt with other plumping issues (leaking washer hookups; burned out hot water heater; septic pumping) and have gone with different providers for each.  Roto-rooter was by far the easiest to get a hold of and fastest to ever make it to my place (and it was after hours!).  We noticed water backing up from the basement floor drain and called the main office at ~6:00pm.  The office picked up right away and contacted a technician and he called me back within 10 mins to give me an ETA as he was stuck in traffic.  Even with the traffic he was at our place and looking at the problem by 6:45pm!  I was floored!  I've never had such fast service!  
Buzz, the technician, was super helpful and personable.  He explained what he was going to do and his problem solving process and the different outcomes that were possible.  He also provided approximate cost estimates for the different scenarios that could be causing our problem.  It was very clear and informative, I feel much better prepared for the next time we have problems.
That first night Buzz attempted to find the clog with a camera (which my 5yo son got a total kick out of), but it made it all the way to the tank without finding it.  Which meant he was going to have to dig up the access hatch to look inside the tank.  Unfortunately, it was dark by then so he marked it off and had to come back the next day.  He felt so bad about not being able to fix the problem that night and was super apologetic.  He was just the friendliest guy.
Anyways, the next day Buzz dug up the hatch and pulled out a big old ball of roots that was blocking up the drain!  Fixed!  Maybe it was because he did such a great job explaining all the potential costs that when he rung up the final price we were delighted that it was so low!  Only 300 and change - we were really expecting about $600+ for the work he did.  I feel that Buzz gave us a really good deal - I think because he felt so bad about not being able to help us that first night.  :)  A+ for Buzz.

When I requested Barry as the inspected, she was quick to let me know his availability times and from knowing that I was able to select a time that worked best for the builder and the inspector. Barry called us the day of the inspection just to clarify the time and location. After the inspection was done, Barry notified me that he would be sending a print out of the inspection. "First, I would like to say that Wilson Delgado was a delight to deal with--good-natured, patient, positive, and accommodating. He obviously takes great pride and care in his work. In this case, he didn't know what he was getting into--this was his first experience repairing a futon frame (an old one at that). The job required disassembling the frame in order to transport the base to his shop. This was not an easy repair. The main supporting cross piece had cracked, and it required creative thinking to devise a solution for repairing and reinforcing the broken piece. He spent a lot of time on this job--including spending extra time to reinforce the other end, which he discovered was cracked as well. He also went to the trouble to try to locate a replacement washer. He and his assistant delivered the frame (for consultation, pick-up, and delivery, he accommodated our work schedules and came in the evening). It took all four of us to figure out how to reassemble the frame, a rather frustrating experience, but Wilson and his assistant both remained calm and we did it! 
I should add that this was an Angie's List Big Deal ($99 for $200 worth of furniture restoration, repair, or refinishing), which turned out to be well worth the price--certainly a better deal for us than it was for Wilson. But despite the fact that it took him more time than expected, he did not ask for more money, which was very generous. We paid an additional $60 for pick-up and delivery of the futon frame.
