It was the owner of the company and his son that did all the work and they were clean, pleasant and professional. When the 1st rains came after the work was done I suddenly remembered a small leak we had had in our bathroom and IT WAS NO LONGER THERE!! "My experience with Solar has been very smooth so far. Our guy Mike , was very kind and thorough. Being an elderly couple, We were skeptical in the beginning. We didn't know much about the solar or different programs and he took the time to explain to us in a way that was very easy to understand. He was honest, upfront and clear about any concerns that we had. He was very patient with us and was always there to pick up when we called him. He even provided us with local references for us to call. We called all 3 and all 3 had wonderful things to say about their system, savings and the service of America Green Builders. Our time to installation took one month and he got us moving forward quickly. The installers took less than 5 hours to complete about 38 panels on our home. Being retired, we are always looking for ways to save money so this made much sense. My husband and I are happy and will recommend them to our family and friends."

"I purchased a "deal" -4 hours of dry wall labor for $99. Having no idea how much dry wall can be fixed/replaced in 4 hours or what materials were needed, I requested that someone come out and let me know if what was needed (time and materials) to complete the job I had. The Just Do It office said no problem and I scheduled an appointment. The worker arrived on time but was not aware that he was only to provide an estimate. He was under the assumption that he was to do the work -- this was a subcontractor Just Do It uses in my area. It took about 20 minutes to clear up the miscommunication and the office explaining what is included in the "deal" and what isn't before the workman gave me  the estimates I asked for.
I scheduled another appointment to have the work done. In the meantime, I purchased the materials -- I didn't want someone who was skilled in fixing drywall to spend "labor time" going to and from Home Depot and then run out of time doing the actual work. The work was done well and mess was cleaned up.
So after a somewhat rocky start, I would use this company again. I would, however, suggest that the Just Do It scheduling office realize that some of us don't know the nuances of their business and work involved/allowed for jobs and to have a little more patience explaining why work requested is/is not a part of a deal.

"Goodfellas Construction has been spectacular on my bathroom renovation. Built in 1940, the two bedroom one bath house had never had a major renovation. Usually just maintenance to solve what was required to fix an immediate problem. The bathroom was the obvious choice for a renovation starting point - the small shower stall (like a closet with water), cast iron tub, linoleum floor, old pipes and inadequate lighting were really depressing. After asking friends and neighbors and driving by construction sites, I found GOODFELLAS and called to set up a meeting. Danny Gold came to the house, and we talked about what I wanted in the renovation. Based on our discussion, he wrote up a fair estimate and specified the things I would be responsible for providing and the things that Goodfellas would provide. This approach allows the homeowner to personalize the project - you get to select the materials for flooring, vanity, plumbing fixtures, etc. so you have control of what the finshed project will look like. Danny Gold remained the focal point of the construction management effort. He was always available for questions or guidance throughout the project. He is personable and knowledgeable and is always aware of how his subcontractors are progressing. Goodfellas started in the bathroom, but as I could see the resullts of their work, the scope of the project enlarged - Re-pipe, Drain line upgrade, Electrical upgrade, Forced Air furnace replacement and painting. Goodfellas brought in their specialty subcontractors and never failed to please. The subcontractors were always on time, and ready to work for as long as it took to finish. Considering the extent of the work being done, the level of inconvenience for me was always a priority. Contractors left the job as clean as possible, and kept me in the loop as to what was going to happen next and when they would be finished with each subsequent phase. Goodfellas worked well with the City of Glendale permitting department, Department of Water and Power and the individual inspectors that certified the work. At each inspection, a Goodfellas representative and the subcontractor were available to answer any question or concern that arose. I like Goodfellas so much I’m going for the kitchen remodel next week."
