"AJ was quick to respond, gave me plenty of time to look at the project and had a vast knowledge to speak directly to my concerns. His solution for my basement walls was simple and reasonable. He did not try and sell me on unnecessary items that other companies tried to make be buy. His work crew were excellent. They were hard working, quiet, and very clean. They took care of covering everything up, hauling away all the rubble and even some of the collected junk in our basement. The job was completed in 3 days. The space looks great now, and I trust it will last for the lifetime they say it will. AJ is also a great guy and easy to talk to."

"Josh, the representative from Basement Gurus was outstanding! We had experienced a water issue in our finished basement. Josh thoroughly examined the interior and exterior of the home and determined that the leak might be plumbing related. Josh could have very easily exploited our ignorance and suggested a solution purely beneficial to his company that may not have addressed the underlying cause of the problem. Instead, he demonstrated his integrity by realistically assessing the situation even if it would jeopardize the sale. This is commendable particularly in this era where cutthroat business practices are commonplace. I highly recommend Basement Gurus. They are fortunate to have an employee like Josh who exhibits concern for the customer at such a high level. "

"We have a large basement. We had water seeping out from the cinder block walls, and had a lot of mold on the walls. Aqua Dry completely solved these issues for us in about a day and a half. Their work crews were very professional, and respectful of our property, cleaning up after themselves thoroughly. They wrapped our possessions in the basement to minimize dust accumulating on them. Our basement is now bone dry, with zero mold present. I would highly recommend Aqua Dry Basement Waterproofing!"

"From the beginning of the job to the end, I was very happy with Dry-At-Last. Out of the four companies that came for the inspection of the crawlspace, Steve (the owner) was the only one who found an issue with the wall in the basement. The drainage system was extended, and now everything is bone dry. The workers were polite, hard working, and respectful."

Customers say: Quality work

"Paul's Cement Work...Paul and all his sons did a great job. They demolished a block wall and resurfaced the back yard. I also had a riot of uneven sidewalk sections that they resurfaced and evened out so there is no more tripping hazard. A reasonable quote and Paul had time to start immediately so I jumped on it. I wish everybody was this easy to work with!"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Philadelphia, PA

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
