"Joe was wonderful.  In the morning, we woke up to our hot water heater not working.   He was here in an hour and replaced the hot water heater installed in three hours.   Great experience and wonderful guy.

"One of the best contractor experiences we have ever had. Jim called the day before to confirm the appointment. Larry the Plumber was so nice to deal with. He put on she covers to protect my wood floors, worked very neatly and gave us some tips about ongoing maintenance. He did a perfect job. This review us for Petro in central NJ. i was not able to change the company location. We hired them through Amazon."

"We were doing some upgrades in our older house and I wanted to have central A/C and to remove the old baseboard heating system. I contacted a couple of the larger A/C contractors and they all came in around the same price while using different manufacturers and in some cases even different sized systems. I found an ad for Green Heating and called Dan who quickly scheduled a visit. I liked Dan from the start. He's down to earth and personable. His price was excellent, he was a couple thousand dollars cheaper than one of the other contractors while quoting almost the same equipment (one of the components that Dan used was a new version than the other guy quoted). When we were finally ready for the installation, Dan worked with me to schedule the installation and he did it in the time promised and in the time frame he quoted. I like the system and we were very comfortable in our home this summer, which was hot and this was the first summer that we've had whole house AC. In 9 months we have had 0 issues with the system. I whole heartedly recommend Dan and will use him when general system checks or any maintenance is needed."

"It took 2 days to do the work. Larry and his crew went meticulously piece by piece and installed all the new equipment. They did it so quietly, neatly and perfectly, it was as if they were not there. Any item that needed my imput , such as location of thermostat, they asked questions to clarify. I could not have been happier with their professionalism, politeness, and quality of work."

"We were very pleased overall with Temp-Rite.  They installed a single-zone Mitsubishi cooling system in top floor bedroom with high ceilings where the central AC unit was ineffective.  The condenser unit was mounted to the chimney.  Temp-Rite met us on a Saturday which was very convenient for us.  The technician called to confirm the appointment; he was punctual and knowledgeable enough so that he could discuss several different BTU and installation options and provide a price during that same appointment.  Scheduling the installation was straightforward and the installation was professionally done.  The unit works very well and really cools the whole top floor even though it was intended for just the one bedroom.

"I called several different vendors to get pricing estimates on replacing my HVAC system.  I shopped for a high efficiency unit for the 2 stage variable heating unit and replacement of our 6 ton AC unit which was all rated at around 9 SEER from the 1990s.  Our air conditioning went out in early August and I didn't want to rush and sign up with the first.
I first interviewed Horizon and they were the most expensive starting around $15K.  The guy was very nice and then asked what my price was to replace the entire unit. I felt that was unfair and told him I needed to interview several others before making a decision and I am glad I did that.  Green Electric was around $13K for a comparably same unit. Next was Climac for a Trane Unit and they were just under $10K. Christian Plumbing didnt seem that I needed the high efficiency and was going to do the regular for around $10.5K and no real written estimate as I had to take a picture of what he wrote down (dissappointing). Lastly was Omni Heating & Cooling, which I called on a whim since I wasn't sure if Climac was going to come out because of a scheduling issue.  Karis was great and walked thru all the options and prices.  I received a very nice Bryant system for a very reasonable cost.  My home cools very quickly again and I am very satisfied with the work they did. I did have to replace some sheetrock in the basement ceiling, but well worth the cost savings compated with the other vendors.

"We recently bought our house and quickly identified problems with our dryer vent. We assumed the vent was clogged, but discovered our dryer led to small cavity with no outside exhaust.  We called Murphy?s for a quote to drill through our old stone wall and install an adequate venting system.

They were very responsive and in a couple of days arrived promptly at 7:30am, as scheduled. We showed them to problem and also explained that we didn't like our current washer/dryer set up and hoped to relocate them and replace with a stacking unit in a few years.  They looked around the basement and identified where we could relocate the washer and dryer (considered distance to water, drainage, outlets, clearances etc.). After evaluating the exterior and interior wall conditions we settled on a location to drill that worked for both our current setup and future configuration. They quoted us approximately $550 drill through our exterior wall and provide all required material. With our old thick stone walls, this was a reasonable price. They were ready to do the work and started immediately.

Ultimately, we were very happy with the service and work performed, and our clothes dry in half the time!  They used the proper ducting (not the ribbed flexible type) and eliminated turns to prevent lint accumulation and secured it nicely to the wall. The exterior vent they used blends nicely with the stone and does not stand out, and is properly controlled to prevent animal access. They were knowledge, thorough, kind and open. We have no complaints and would certainly consider using them in the future.

FAQs for radiant floor heating system installation projects in Phoenixville, PA

Heated driveways either heat up with electric coils or from hot water flowing through pipes, coming from your boiler. These electric cables and pipes are generally only a couple of inches under the surface. As they heat, they heat up the thermal mass of the asphalt or concrete, which melts away the snow and ice. They usually run for an extra period after all the snow is melted to dry out the surface and avoid ice accumulation.

Heated driveways will melt off snow at a rate of about two to three inches per hour. The actual rate of melt depends on the temperature you have the heating set at, the type of driveway you have, and the climate you're in. Your driveway will melt much faster in 32 degrees than it will at zero degrees. So expect your results to vary a bit.

Heated driveways may crack if the embedded heating elements are positioned too near the surface or if a system malfunction occurs. This issue arises when the coils or tubes are not installed correctly, resulting in stress on the pavement. Once the heating system is fully corrected, the necessary repair involves sealing the cracks and resurfacing. This process restores strength and ensures lasting durability.

When installed and maintained correctly, a heated driveway lasts between 15 and 20 years, on average. Proper installation using professional standards and regular maintenance of components such as the boiler and wiring guarantees long-lasting performance. Consistent care and timely repairs secure the system's durability, ensuring reliable operation throughout its expected lifespan.

A heated driveway increases home value by enhancing curb appeal and ensuring safety during snowstorms. This reliable system adds a high-value feature that stands out in areas with heavy snow, reducing the need for manual snow removal. Homeowners benefit from improved aesthetics and energy efficiency, which contributes significantly to overall property marketability.
