"<em>Eudy's came to the rescue and managed to finish the job. </em>It was some task and it took several months but, the cabinets and built-ins are now beautiful. Eudy's had some task but, they were patient and put a lot of time into doing everything right. Mike Eudy came to our home several times to meet with us and to measure. They had to match custom paint that was already on some of the cabinets and they had to modify many cabinets that were not installed correctly and damaged by the first cabinet company. The first company did not make a cabinet correctly to fit our built-in refrigerator/freezer. Eudy's reconfigured the cabinet and it looks perfect. We will always use Eudy's in the future. They are a little pricey but, you get what you pay for. <br /> Everyone that sees our cabinets comments on how beautiful they are. We are so grateful to Eudy's for saving the day! <br />"

"Upstate Remodel did a wonderful job on our house!  My wife and I had gotten several estimates from a few "flooring" companies to install new laminate hardwood floors in our house.  Let's just say all their estimates were rather outrageous for what we thought it should approximately be.  We decided to check out Angie's List and did a search for "flooring" in our area and Upstate Remodel ended up being on the top of the list.  Gave David a call.  He came out, was very professional, helpful and gave us an estimate for the job.  His estimate was very reasonable, specially for everything he said he was going to do.  The other quotes we got did not even come close.  David was great to work with.  He has a very friendly, funny personality and loves to joke around. <br /> The original estimate for the job included: <br /> Complete install of whole house laminate hardwood floors (including closets, excluding kitchen and bathrooms). <br />  - Picked up and delivered flooring from the store it was purchased at when it came in <br />  - Moved furniture as needed to accommodate us and the install <br />  - Pulled up and removed old carpet and carpet padding <br />  - Removed old broken-tile style ceramic tiling in foyer and around fireplace area (this was no easy task either!) <br />  - Removed old baseboards <br />  - Properly undercut door jambs <br />  - Inspected and fixed any sub-flooring noises <br />  - Installed new under-layment padding <br />  - Installed new laminate hardwood floor throughout house <br />  - Installed, nail-hole filled, and caulked new baseboards throughout <br />  - Installed new baseboard HVAC registers (customer purchased) <br />  - Installed low profile thresholds for bathrooms and kitchen <br />  - Installed proper exterior door thresholds <br />  - Moved furniture back after install was complete <br />  - Cleaned all installation/construction messes and hauled away all old materials and trash. <br /> For all that, the price was unbelievable!   <br /> Once we picked out and purchased the floor we wanted, David picked it up and delivered it himself from the store once it came in.  We had approximately 1200 sq. ft. of flooring to be done and we knew that it was going to turn our house upside down for a bit, but that was to be expected.  Upstate Remodel did a great job at working with us and accommodating us as much as possible with anything to make the whole process more comfortable.  This was very true specially with my wife who has Multiple Sclerosis and has a difficult time with mobility.  David was more than willing to do anything to help accommodate her during the time the install was going on.  This alone showed extreme professionalism.   <br /> During the install not only was David very accommodating, but he was very detail oriented.  If you are looking for someone you can trust to "do things the right way" and not cut-corners, then you definitely need to call Upstate Remodel.  David has a personality like mine so I was instantly put at ease knowing that I could trust him to do things right and perfect.  I am the type of person who is a bit OCD and can't stand knowing when something is just not right.  David's work ethic is exactly like this.  He will not do something unless it is done right.  He explained that this is one of the reasons he pulls baseboards and undercuts the door jambs, instead of doing a half-effort job and cut the floor around the jambs and just throw down quarter-round moldings on top of the existing baseboards.  I agreed totally with him and think that looks cheap.   <br /> On top of all that, David even took some extra steps to help us out with the little detailed things that he didn't even have to do.  For example, during conversation we mentioned recently we had our HVAC replaced, so he took the initiative to tape up the gaps around the HVAC register ducts in every room.  This was not part of the estimate, but since the flooring was up, he went ahead and took care of it for us.  <br /> I honestly would say that for the price and the time it took for the job, it was more than worth it and you could not find a better deal anywhere in the upstate area.  Our house has a completely new look on the inside.  My wife and I are extremely happy with all aspects of the install and the finished product.  The biggest difference in choosing to go with David from Upstate Remodel versus a big "flooring" company is that he is his own independent contractor and his business relies on his reputation.  It is very easy to see the difference in quality too.  A big flooring company will send out employees who work for the company and not care much about the quality of the job. We were very appreciative of the great quality that David puts into his work. <br /> We will definitely be calling David back again in the future for any other work we have done on our house.  We totally recommend David for any high quality work you need done on your home.  We couldn't be happier with what Upstate Remodel did."

"They were great, they were fast with the quote. The only problem is that our insurance company didn't understand why the upper cabinets needed replacing when the bottoms had the damage. When I asked for a letter explaining why you can't just rebuild one cabinet and get it to match they wouldn't do it. So, we called another cabinet company and they glad to offer the letter so this company didn't get the job. That's the only reason I gave them a C on the overall, I was having such a difficult time getting the quote approved through my insurance and they just dropped the ball and would not go any further to help get it approved. <br /> Other than that, yes I would hire them if a need arose. They were professional, on time and very thorough. They just need to sometimes go that extra mile to help a customer. <br />"
