"Donayvynn made the process great explaining what pieces need to be replaced and fixed. We haven't had the work actually done yet but so far the experience has been great."

"All projects were excellent except the repair of the low stone wall. The stone wall continues to settle and the mortar/ mastic repair of the joint wasn't up to the quality of the rest of the work. In fairness to Chris, I have not contacted him about the wall, so he wasn't asked to correct the work. Chris is honest, easy to work with and has good suggestions. I will definitely use him in the future, and don't have a problem recommending him."

"Monty was great. He came right out and gave us an estimate and we scheduled a time for him to come out. He arrived as promised to perform the work. The repaired section looks great! It’s difficult to tell where or if a repair was done. We will definitely call him for any masonry repair work we need done."

"We had a great experience with the owner of Upgrades, Tom Whiteside. Once we finally decided to move forward with our project, he was very available for questions and worked with us each step of the way. Our project took several months, much of that due to the holiday season, inclement weather, and waiting on inspections from the city.

As with any construction project, we encountered several problems, but Tom was readily available to come out and hear our concerns. He was adamant that we be happy with the finished project. Several times parts of the work had to be redone, but we were more than willing to be delayed so that the end result was perfect. All of the trades people were professional and courteous. We enjoyed all of the people involved in our project.

We are so pleased with the end result - our patio looks like it was built with our home. It's beautiful, and we sit out there daily. We are so pleased with Tom's work, that we are hoping to use him to put in a pool for us in the next year or so! Tom's attention to detail, integrity, and perfection are exactly what we were hoping for."

"Guy came on time and finished the job fairly quickly. The quote for the services was more than I paid for the repair. He cleaned up and left no mess in the garage. I will use them again."

"They showed up to quote a fence replacement on time (we had a difficult time with other fence companies even completing the quote process when they said they would). The fence installation was high quality. This led us to ask for a quote for a complete patio remodel including a covered patio, outdoor kitchen, new decking. They weren’t the cheapest quote but worth it! The quality of workmanship met our high expectations. The project manager was responsive and communication was impeccable."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Pilot Point, TX

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
