"Contact and communication was excellent. We had bad weather during this period but no delay in the service they provided. Arrived on time, did the exact work we agreed upon and cleaned up afterwards. I have recommended them to our neighbors and have a few other projects that I will have them complete also.

"The repair went great! Paul has a lot of knowledge on remodeling and repair. He works quick and does a fantastic job. He did a good job at trying to keep the work area clean and cleaned up after himself afterward. He is very honest and was able to work with my schedule. I would recommend American Remodel and Repair to anyone I know who needs a remodel or repair."

"If you have a leaky basement or are thinking about building a new house with a basement, don’t even consider using anyone except Willie and The Basement Kings. We rebuilt a lake house in 2012 that was destroyed in a wildfire, and the walkout basement flooded every spring. The builder spent thousands of dollars trying to fix it, but it flooded eight times in five years. I found The Basement Kings on Angie’s List, and Willie met me at the lake house the next day. He thoroughly inspected the basement and told me exactly what the problems were and how to fix them. Willie has an impeccable work ethic. He and his crew finished their work today. We have a lifetime guarantee that the basement will stay dry. He took photos of the work every day and texted them to my husband. It was hard, tedious, dirty work, but Willie takes pride in doing the job right, and his price was fair for the amount of work and materials involved. This guy eats, sleeps and dreams about basements. SO glad we hired him. You will be too!"

"They did a great job taking down my tree. They also put up a new side fence and gate. Another thing they did was to put stain on the fence and gate. Everything looks wonderful. They were honest, completed everything I asked them to complete, and everything looked very good. I will hire them again."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Plainview, TX

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
