"This past weekend, my third floor toilet/sinks were backing up due to a lost plumbing snake. I called SmartChoice and spoke with Carlos this past Sunday. He came out Sunday night and looked at the situation. He returned Monday with Travis and tried to get the snake out but couldn't (He removed the toiled, put in a camera and tried taking it out that way). He finally returned this morning (with Travis) and finished the job. He cut into the wall into our garage and pulled it out. I really appreciated the fact that Carlos tried multiple ways to get the snake out before cutting into the wall. He did not immediately pick the most expensive option.
During all 3 visits, Carlos (and Travis) were very professional. They were on time, very detailed with their explanation on what needed to be come. I called multiple plumbers last Sunday before choosing SmartChoice. They had the best price. I HIGHLY recommend this company. I will definitely call them in the future if I have more plumbing issues.

"My home is older and the galvanized water pipes have been springing leaks. I called "The Plumber" (Chris) for an estimate to re-pipe the home. Chris promptly provided a well priced estimate for 100% PEX from the supply to the fixtures, new water heater and moving the main supply entry to the house. "I had problems in our back yard with water pooling during heavy rainfall and was concerned about possible flooding of our house and garage.  We have a pool and concrete patio, so I knew this was not going to be an easy fix.

Rob came out and spent about 2 hours looking over our situation and talking about options.  After he left, he came up with a single plan with components so we could proceed one step at a time, then wait and evaluate the success of that step or do a number of steps at once. 

Since we we were very concerned about the possibility of flooding, we elected to proceed with regrading, adding an exterior drainage line from the garage to the street, replacing an existing line from the house to the street, adding catch basins and re-grading areas around the house and garage.

The work was done at the days and times arranged; the crew was very considerate and professional and the work was beautiful.  

Most importantly, we have had several very heavy rainfalls and the solutions we had implemented by Works By Rob are performing as well as we had hoped.   We had no accumulation of water and no worries!"

"DAV Construction was hired to replace a damaged roof and gutters. They did a professional job of discussing the bid with me. However, this was more than a roofing job. I had an issue with water seeping through my second floor brick that continued to damage my interior and patio cover. We all thought it was a poor trim installation. Alex took a hard core position of helping me correct the problem. We had to repair any openings in the existing brick and applied a water sealant. I even had a phone call several months later after a heavy rain storm to see if we had any visible leaks. All was good and the extra effort was was high on the scale of taking care of the customer. I would personally recommend Alex and his team to anyone."

"Everything went as planned and were finished prior to the timeline that was set out from the beginning. Roberto is very good at what he does and keeps you updated during all phases of the process. We wrestled with the idea of going cheaper and hiring out each phase of the renovation and doing our own general contracting work, but we are very glad we hired Roberto and his guys to help us instead. At no point during the process was i worried the job wouldn't get done in the manner we wanted it done. The master bath vanities and kitchen island were our signature pieces and Ismael and his guys built them exactly the way we wanted. The tiling was done so well we added on installing stone tile on the fireplaces. One of the fireplaces was not up to Roberto's liking so he made the tiler remove it and fix it at his own cost. Roberto looks at the job as what he would want if it were his house, so never had to worry that he would cut corners or let things not be perfect."

"I used a coupon they offered to get some small but numerous projects done. It went very well. I had quite a "honey-do" list and most of the projects were completed. A few of the items were outside the scope of the coupon, requiring a bit more time and were better quoted separately which I understood perfectly. The were very nice, professional, took pride in their work and didn't attempt anything they may have damaged my home. For example, I had to replace a defective bathroom faucet installed around tile. They explained that although it was a relatively simple job, they would not be able to do it because of the grout around the screw that would require some time to carefully remove. As it is, they will need to come back to do some other work pending an estimate for the work. (installing a dishwasher and replacing wood rot around the garage door. All in all, very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them."

"I had already taken the trap off of the piping under the sink and cleaned it out, that didn't fix the clog. Since I realized the clog was somewhere in the pipes behind the wall, I knew I needed professional help. On a Friday morning, I called several places... some of which told me they couldn't get to me until the following Tuesday, others put me on hold when I called, and most were just generally unhelpful which made me decide not to use them. The owner answered the phone immediately and was able to answer questions and was able to fit me into his schedule within less than 24 hrs. When he arrived he put covers on his shoes and (with no prompting from me) was respectful of my wood floors and carried his necessary equipment instead of rolling it through my house. He was professional, polite and very reasonably priced. If I have plumbing issues in the future, I will definitely give JR Plumbing a call again."
