"The initial work went very well. The ceiling fan install was great, the light switches are wonderful and the diagnostic work for a line that ran outside and that wasn’t working was good. We decided to disconnect the outside line and fixed a couple switches in the house. A couple months later the ceiling fan heater unit burnt out and RK helped me warranty the unit at no charge."

"Excellent. John set to work right away. He worked very fast and was very knowledgeable. He determined a baseboard heater needed replacement and gave options to choose. He had a very complex task with a porch light the had no power only to find the circuit was dead and found a light fixture that was miswired and had burned the insulation off the wire. He repaired it . finding the problem required getting into the attic crawl space to trace where the wires went. I was grateful he found and fixed it as it was dangerous."

"One tech, Jacob Bailey, did a thorough testing and servicing of the A/C and then reviewed immediate and future concerns about the system. He made recommendations about further diagnostic testing and a recommendation about the likely need to replace the blower capacitor. Will Adams found a leak in the instant hot water dispenser and said it needed to be replaced. He suggested options for Roth doing the entire replacement and install or purchasing the unit and then having it installed Both techs were clear in their presentation of what needed to be addressed and offered options without any pressure."

"Given the fact we have no eye for design nor any reliable contractor recommendations from friends, we consider ourselves very lucky to have found Charles! Going into a major home remodel relatively blindly was a little scary, but we are extremely happy with our finished product and how thorough Charles' work was. He has an eye for detail and takes a lot of pride in both his work and the design aspects. (Essentially, we told him the color palate we liked and allowed him to steer the vision - the results are GORGEOUS! Several friends have told us the improvements are magazine worthy). Charles was always punctual, always efficient, and worked diligently to stay in our budget. We're so pleased with his work, we're planning on having him return next year to work on other areas of the house. Would recommend Charles wholeheartedly to anyone!"

"We had several small drywall cracks that needed repair, and our pull-down attic ladder had a bad hinge.  Walt and Tammy were prompt and responsive to these issues, and they also took care of a couple of additional drywall repairs without changing the estimate.  The attic ladder was an unusual repair, as it involved modifying a poorly assembled lower segment, but Walt was able to correct this without issue.  In addition, Tammy noticed some cracked caulking in our bathroom by the tub, which she also repaired for no additional charge.
Overall, we are satisfied with the work done, and we will definitely use the service again for handyman needs."

"I was satisfied with the appointment set up, etc. but when the time of appointment, two people showed up, a man and a woman.   They knocked on the door and said they were going to walk around the house first on the outside.  It was a very cold, rainy day and it was muddy around the house in some places.
When they came in, they did not bother to take off their shoes and because my crawl space is in the back of my house, in a bedroom closet, they drug dirt throughout the house.  Then the young man proceeded to go under the house.  He took his shoes off then and put on a coverall.    He did not put anything down to keep the carpet or protect my clothing in closet.  I was glad I had put down a small rug by crawl space entrance.  When he came out,, he put back on his dirty shoes and proceeded to walk back through the house, and in the kitchen to write up an estimate.
I did not feel his price was reasonable and would not use them.

"I needed a Tesla charger installed in my garage. They showed up to the house quickly, and were very knowledgeable on what to do and what i needed. They installed it within an hour, with very quality parts, and were very neat and tidy about it too. No issues since install! I definitely would consider them again in the future!"

"I had my kitchen completely gutted for a new layout and a lot of built in storage. Had the wall between kitchen and living room removed and also wall removed between living room and split level entry. Wrought iron railing installed. Fireplace refaced and wired for tv. Rewiring and new electrical panel installed. New floors and painting. I had a lot of questions during the process and Rick was so patient and kind in answering them. His crew is amazing and if I decide to have any more remodeling done I certainly will welcome them back"

FAQs for attic or whole house fan installation projects in Portland, OR

Installing an attic fan lowers attic temperatures and reduces moisture, protecting stored items and extending the life of roofing materials. It also prevents mold, mildew, and paint deterioration, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort in the home. This type of protection helps you avoid costly repairs in the future and maintains the integrity of your home.

Installing an attic fan may require multiple professionals. A roofing specialist or carpenter can create the vent and mount the fan securely, while a licensed electrician connects the system to the home's electrical supply. A dedicated attic fan installer may be able to tackle all of these areas themselves, so be sure to confirm what services they can provide. Hiring qualified professionals ensures the installation is safe and the attic fan operates reliably.

The lifespan of an attic fan depends on the type and how well it is maintained. Passive attic fans can last 40 to 50 years, while electric and solar models typically last 10 to 15 years. Regular cleaning and maintenance help ensure the fan operates reliably and safely. Ask your installation pro for their recommendations for ongoing maintenance and service to help your attic fan last for as long as possible.
