"They did a great job replacing Control 4 light switches with 3-way and 4-way toggle switches. Due to the way the Control 4 switches were installed it took them a little longer than planned to get the new toggle switches installed, they only charged me the original quote. Very friendly and courteous. Definitely would hire them again"

"Apex Plumbing was great to work with and we will definitely use them again. We had booked a late afternoon appointment, but Apex called around 9:30am and said they could be at our house within the next 40 minutes. The plumber who did our job was Nick Colegrove. He was pleasant, informative, and he did a great job installing the faucet which turned out to be a bigger job than we had anticipated. And the cost was less expensive than other plumbing companies. Thanks so much Apex and Nick!"

"I would absolutely use KAP Electric again for any of my electrical needs. They installed a large ceiling fan in a new location on a vaulted ceiling in our living room. The job was done at a reasonable price, and in a professional manner as stated in their estimate. They were friendly, on time, organized, and performed the work in a timely manner as stated in their estimate."

FAQs for attic or whole house fan installation projects in Columbus, OH

Installing an attic fan lowers attic temperatures and reduces moisture, protecting stored items and extending the life of roofing materials. It also prevents mold, mildew, and paint deterioration, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort in the home. This type of protection helps you avoid costly repairs in the future and maintains the integrity of your home.

Installing an attic fan may require multiple professionals. A roofing specialist or carpenter can create the vent and mount the fan securely, while a licensed electrician connects the system to the home's electrical supply. A dedicated attic fan installer may be able to tackle all of these areas themselves, so be sure to confirm what services they can provide. Hiring qualified professionals ensures the installation is safe and the attic fan operates reliably.

The lifespan of an attic fan depends on the type and how well it is maintained. Passive attic fans can last 40 to 50 years, while electric and solar models typically last 10 to 15 years. Regular cleaning and maintenance help ensure the fan operates reliably and safely. Ask your installation pro for their recommendations for ongoing maintenance and service to help your attic fan last for as long as possible.
