Customers say: Quick response

"Plumber arrived on time and was very courteous and professional.  The total job took approximately one hour.  Plumber took the time to show me the cause of the leak.  The replacement valve was a high quality component compared to the valve that was previously installed.  I highly recommend Malmedal Plumbing, I will definitely use them again if and when needed. <br />"

Customers say: Super punctual

"Excellent job. Needed drywall repaired after the interior wall was opened up to facilitate plumbing work by another company. Easy to contact, showed up on time ready to work with the right equipment and supplies, described work to be done clearly, explained each step as it was done, was detail oriented and careful when completing the work, cleaned up the work area when done, end result was perfect. Quote was reasonable. I will definitely call this company again when I need work done."

"Replaced new water and added all the safety options (earth quake straps and expansion tank). Fixed drain pipe and everything look professional done. The plumber measured the walls in my closet and had the correct height water heater size in 30 minutes. Great service."

"Very satisfied with the quality of the work. Their plumber was professional, courteous, and fast. My gripe is the price. $370 to replace a faucet with one that I provided, and that price was with their 10% discount. As the old faucet was leaking like a hose we did not have the time to shop around so I bit the bullet and paid It. I wonder how much repeat business they get. I know I can’t afford to use them in future."

"Mechanical repairs were completed as per the estimate. Technician James was on time and did a great job. Couldn't have asked for a better company to estimate, schedule and perform the repairs I needed done. Thanks Lindsay (office), Eric (estimator) and James (technician)."

"Wyatt was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. His estimates were very reasonable compared to other quotes we received, and he took the time to explain our options clearly. He made honest, practical recommendations on plumbing fixtures that helped us avoid unnecessary costs while still getting quality results. We really appreciated his transparency and expertise. Travis arrived on time to fix our plumbing issues and install a water filtration system. He completed the work efficiently without rushing and was very careful with the fixtures. After installing the water filter, he clearly explained the next steps for proper usage and what to watch for to identify any potential issues. He encouraged us to reach out if anything came up and assured us he would come back promptly if needed. His attention to detail, professionalism, and willingness to help really stood out. Highly recommend this team for reliable, professional, and trustworthy plumbing services."

"For specific projects there was no choice for emergency or burst pipes and that&#39;s what we had. We had a pipe burst in our garage, and it was flooding the garage. We had to call the non emergency dispatch to see if we could get help turning off the main water valve; it was frozen. The dispatch told us that there were approximately 10,000 people without water due to bursting pipes. We had contacted them because we couldn&#39;t get the main shut-off valve off due to it being frozen, and someone from the city water came to our rescue as well. Considering our garage was flooding. We had called 6 plumbers and got all the same answer; it would be Monday or Tuesday before they could get to us. Totally understood their responses. Fortunately for us, Ryan, from Ryan Parker Plumbing LLC, contacted us later that evening, and he was able to fit us in after all. He came out in that freezing rain and showed my husband that we could have water in the house and just turn off the area that was damaged. Then, he proceeded to fix the pipe (it was in our garage in the wall). Didn&#39;t take him long, thank goodness! He came back the next day to make sure it was all fixed and working properly. Ryan is a gem, and I now have him in my phone for future needs! I would recommend Ryan Parker Plumbing to anyone!"

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Portland, OR

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
