"I am a residential home repairman, and I accepted a job from a customer to stop water leaking into the basement around their chimney after rain. I caulked outside along the sides of the chimney and around the top cap. This reduced, but did not stop the leaking. I thoroughly researched chimney sweeps, and recommended Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps to my customer. Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps came and examined the chimney, and returned several days later to make repairs. They were honest and professional. They replaced the chimney cap/screen at the top, and repaired a row of bricks outside. They also sprayed sealer on all the bricks outside. Post-repairs, there was no more water in the basement after inclement weather. Work was done efficiently and looked great. Their price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend them again, if another chimney-related problem arises."

"Called and made appointment for exterior chimney inspection for $100. They showed up exactly in the time window; inspected the chimneys; wrote up a proposal to replace crowns, fix broken flue tile, re-seal flashing for $650 per chimney for total of $1300. Because I accepted the proposal they waived the $100 inspection charge. I paid 20% down and the remainder a week later when they came to do the work. All work was done from outside house with only access to water and power required. No issues. I'd use them again."

"We needed a chimney liner installed for our wood-burning fireplace insert. Winstons did a super job and kept me fully informed as the work progressed, in case I had questions. We highly recommend Winstons."

"Very pleased with result; office staff and workers were easy to work with, responsive and reliable. They kept in close communication and provided information about options and their relative advantages/disadvantages. Workers came on time, worked hard, did impressive clean up during and after the job -- chimney looks great. Very pleased overall."

"I needed an inspection for my chimney to see if there was a problem with the venting, but was having a lot of trouble finding a company who could accomplish this. This is because I have a very old gas appliance which has a very small vent diameter which apparently doesn't allow for the cameras of chimney sweeps to fit. I finally called Rooftop Chimney Sweeps to see if they might be able to help. The owner returned my call and spent nearly 30 minutes asking questions and getting more information about my fireplace/chimney concerns. He even brought up my address on Google Maps to look at my building and review the chimney structure, etc. to help determine what kind of inspection could be done. I really appreciated the time he took speaking with me, and it's clear he is extremely knowledgeable. An appointment was set for a few weeks later. The technician (Perry) and assistant (Christopher?) that visited were very friendly and polite, took COVID precautions, and were also conscientious about keeping things clean during their work. They were very thorough, inspecting both inside and outside on the roof. They even found a way to scope the chimney despite the small vent. I was able to see the video of the vent as they were scoping the chimney. An inspection report was sent to me later that day. I am very pleased with the service I received and feel much better now about the safety of my chimney and fireplace."

"This company did an outstanding job from start to finish. The scheduling was prompt even though it was months before winter set in and the fireplace was possibly needed. Mr. Wood and his aide were professional and did an excellent job. Although the house is 50 years old, Mr. Wood obtained bricks that totally matched those from the original build--it is impossible to tell where the new work begins. Mr. Wood's efforts identified other brick-related areas of the house that were in need of repair and did this all within budget. Neighbor's stopped by while the work was on-going and asked for Mr. Woods' business cards. Since the job was completed, neighbors have told me that the work looks great."

"In November of 2016, Mr. Prouty responded quickly to my request for a quote. I analyzed the top of the chimney and agreed that a concrete chimney cap needed to be poured to fix the poor job that the builder's mason ad done five years earlier. However he said it was too cold to do concrete work and that he would do it in the spring. He returned in the spring to review the condition of the top of the chimney and we scheduled a date of service. The crew that did the work was right on time, explained what they were doing, were neat and professional in their installation and the removal of the form once the concrete was cured. I've delayed writing a review until almost a year had passed to make sure that their work resolved the problem. I can safely say that the diagnosis was spot on and the new chimney cap has eliminated the leak. I will certainly use Prouty's again for all my chimney work."

"I chose St. Joseph's Roofing because of all the 5 star reviews I read and their price for my roof replacement. The were responsive to all of my questions and the actual demolition and installation was done in less than a day. So far I have not found any debris in my yard and their follow-up inspection was reassuring. I would highly recommend St. Joseph Roofing."

"What was discovered was that the chimney had been damaged by the earthquake that had hit our area a few years ago, and due to the age of the home, this resulted in the large crack down the center of the chimney.   Second, the cap of the chimney had much damage which they showed to us with a number of photographs that were taken at the assessment and shown to us on the spot.   The entire cap needed to be fixed and reinforced.  Last, when they did an scope up the center of the chimney was that the lining needed to be replaced, which is the most important piece to protect the home from carbon monoxide poising.   We agreed with there assessment and proceeded with scheduling the work.  The repairs took 2 days to complete and we were very pleased with the work that they had completed and how they cared for our home and how they cleaned up after themselves.   They replaced the cap and reinforced the mortar.  They removed a number of bricks and replaced, re-pointed and fixed the crack and then relined the chimney.  The job itself was more than we wanted to spend, but due to the extend of the damage to the chimney, we thought the price was fair.  We had received 2 other estimates that were higher than what Priddy Clean quoted us. <br /> <br />"
