"Tim (Gas Plumber), who came to my house was so friendly, polite, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to fully explain the options and procedures for installing my gas range, as well as to answer my questions. He is very honest and transparent in sharing information and recommendations. I will not hesitate to call on them in the future."

I've been an electrician for nearly 10 years and I'm an owner-operated company based out of Quakertown. There is no job too small for me. A handful of jobs I take care of are outlets, switches, lights, ceiling, bath, and attic fans, electric car chargers, underground electric for outbuildings, electrical panels, service upgrades, troubleshooting and more.

"The work was scheduled quickly and performed efficiently and professionally. I have every confidence that my gas lines are now permanently and securely fixed. They had been installed using iron pipe, which rusts, a poor choice for a manufactured house over a shallow crawl space, and Goodman replaced everything with galvanized pipe. The plumber who was sent out to evaluate the situation also detected a gas leak from a recent furnace installation that a plumber from another company completely overlooked. He was thorough in his inspection and explained things well. There was no pressure or heavy-duty sales pitch as there had been with a previous company. The price may seem high, but this job took two days and was performed in difficult working conditions. I'm satisfied that I got my money's worth."

"Everything went smoothly and quickly. The first crew came out on a Wednesday and removed my old oil heater and had a new gas heater installed and up and running by the end of the day. The next crew came out the next day and removed my old hot water heater and the new one installed before the end of the day! They listened to my concerns and and we worked together to find a agreeable solution. Everything they sold me on was delivered as promised. Both crews were professional and informative on the progress! They were very respectful and courteous as well! Top notch crew working for a top notch company! The girls in the office were very friendly and professional on scheduling the install! Reach out and give them a call."

"The work was completed in one day (they only could not secure the carpet because the cement had to dry). I came home from work expecting my house to be a mess from jackhammering the cement floor in my family room to get to the pipe.  It was clean and in the order I left it.  I was extremely happy with the work performed.  Holland Flooring called me about 3 days later to make an appointment to come take care of the carpet Lucas had to move in order to get to the pipe. The price was very reasonable compared to the other estimates we received. Other companies told me $7,200 and 3 days.  Lucas was about $4,900 and one day.  Problem is solved. Would definitely recommend Lucas and will use them again for any plumbing needs. <br />"

"Approximately 20-years ago we purchased glass doors for our wood burning FP from Dreifuss and were pleased with the service. We had been contemplating converting to gas fire log insert and after doing some research we decided to get a quote from Dreifuss. The sales people were very knowledgeable discussing pros/cons of vented vs. ventless system and their quote was in line with our expectations so we completed the sale. Installation was scheduled at their busiest time of the year and they clearly advised on 3 - 4-weeks lead time; installation was completed within 3-weeks"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Quakertown, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
