"Eventhough, I did not hire Santamaria Roofing, I gave him 4 stars for the following reasons. Jose was prompt and professional. He actually show me samples of gutters that would be installed . Jose gave me a very fair price for the work. There were some underlying issues with my house that had to be done before I could install gutters and the repairs that I had done were discovery of more issues that needed repairs immediately which ate into my budget. Which I had to cancel Jose doing the job."

"Two guys showed up after texting me that they were on their way. Put down tarp on floor, wiped their feet when coming inside and asked questions to make sure everything was clear on project and some slight options. Would absolutely recommend them and use them again. 24 hour turnaround from first call to finish installation of an attic fan on one of the hottest days of the year."

"I started looking for a roof repair pro around 6AM. Tony called a bit over an hour later and was at my house by 830AM. He did a quick but thorough inspection before giving me an estimate that was more than fair. The job was done by 1030 that day! He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Would certainly use the company again or recommend it to friends."

FAQs for attic or whole house fan installation projects in Queens, NY

Installing an attic fan lowers attic temperatures and reduces moisture, protecting stored items and extending the life of roofing materials. It also prevents mold, mildew, and paint deterioration, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort in the home. This type of protection helps you avoid costly repairs in the future and maintains the integrity of your home.

Installing an attic fan may require multiple professionals. A roofing specialist or carpenter can create the vent and mount the fan securely, while a licensed electrician connects the system to the home's electrical supply. A dedicated attic fan installer may be able to tackle all of these areas themselves, so be sure to confirm what services they can provide. Hiring qualified professionals ensures the installation is safe and the attic fan operates reliably.

The lifespan of an attic fan depends on the type and how well it is maintained. Passive attic fans can last 40 to 50 years, while electric and solar models typically last 10 to 15 years. Regular cleaning and maintenance help ensure the fan operates reliably and safely. Ask your installation pro for their recommendations for ongoing maintenance and service to help your attic fan last for as long as possible.
