"Zen contacted me promptly, gave me a quote, and set up an installation date. Replacement for 4 windows took about 5 hours without problems and crew cleaned up well. Windows work well and I can now see outside."

"They did excellent work and clean-up. We had one existing egress that was not draining and water would rise more than 6" above the glass on the window. The new wells have no water back up at all! Wells and windows are a year old now and have no leaks or water pooling. The white galvanized wells still look new, no wear or rust. A Safe-T View cover was installed to prevent the kids from falling in and has worked wonderfullly, preventing injuries to the kids playing all around it! Thank you, Thank you!"

"When we replaced our windows, we forgot about one window in the attic. So we called Hometowne and asked Mr Deitz if they would would replace one window. He said sure. So we had him come and measure for the replacement and discuss which brand of window to use. Bob suggested a Pella. He offered a great window with a great price. While we were taking we asked about exterior storm doors. Bob offered some suggestions for brands of doors also. We went with the Provia. A little expensive but very good doors. The installation went without a problem. And we were very happy with the window and doors. The doors have a dead bolt so they can be locked from the outside with a key. We can now lock the storm door and keep the inside door open. It has much better weather stripping than our old ones did."

"The window replacement and screen door repair went well. They replaced the screen and the rollers. While they were at my home, we asked for an estimate to replace a broken window. They also noticed other windows that needed to be replaced. We agreed to replace two sliding door screens and the bottom rollers. We also agreed to replace two windows. owever, while installing the windows, they damaged two of our window screens as they were taking them out or putting them back in (they were a pretty tight fit). We found the damage later that day and called Broken Windows. They denied that they damaged the screens. They agree to replace one of the damaged screens if we paid to replace the other damaged screen. We paid for them to replace two other window screens. As it turns out, when we got the screens back, none of the window screens fit the frames anymore, even when we waited for warmer weather in May (in case the frames shrunk during the cold winter temperatures). We will now go to another company to replace all four screens and to replace all corners of each damaged screen."

"Wow, I didn’t think it would be this easy! They replaced 4 huge 5’ x 6’ windows and were finished in less than 5 hours. No mess, they took the old ones away and it was like they were never here. I would HIGHLY recommend Exact remodeling. And the windows are beautiful."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Racine, WI

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
