"Jose was fantastic to work with in every way. Great communication, stellar work quality, and competitive rates. I'm extremely satisfied with the work he did to fix the sagging rafters in our garage. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to everyone I know."

"Vitaliy did a great job reconstructing my bathroom and garage. He was reliable and thorough. He did a great job matching paint colors - unique lavender in bathroom - matched perfectly. The results are gorgeous. He went out of his way to help out with anything needed and was also very time efficient. I would not hesitate to work with him in the future and I highly recommend AVT construction."

"Look no further. This is the master framer and deck builder you are looking for. Strong communication skills, he has good contacts in lumber world to get fast deliveries and save some money. His crew is very good too. All new tools from what I noticed. Hired Aleksander for an ADU build in Town of Loomis, CA. He was done with 1000 sq ft plus all the changes that came up due to Engineer and bldg inspector. He even agreed to take on extra work. He also did an addition on the main house! Talk about flexible. Fair price. Fast work. Would hire again. Strongly recommend. "

"Michael and team did such an amazing job on our bathroom remodel. They took our tiny, dysfunctional bathroom and turned it into a true master bathroom oasis in a short amount of time during the holiday season. When they had the space down to the studs, Michael sat down with us and discussed in detail the best possible use of the space and we couldn’t be happier with our final decision after going through the options. Michael was great at communicating and we still stay in touch to this day, which we truly appreciate. Great team who does great work and I will absolutely be giving Waters Construction a call for any and all future home renovations. I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. "

FAQs for carpentry framing installation projects in Rancho Cordova, CA

Both steel and wood can last over 100 years with proper care. However, wood could rot or warp when exposed to moisture, whereas galvanized steel is rotproof, insect-proof, and much more fire-resistant. Steel is friendlier to the environment as it doesn’t require cutting down trees, and the frame can be recycled. The energy-efficiency rating of metal stud framing can be higher than conventional wood construction. Metal studs are easier and quicker to install.

Whether you’re using wood or metal stud framing, follow the “16 on center” rule, meaning you should have a stud every 16 inches. A 20-foot wall spans a total of 320 inches. This works out to 20 spans of 16 inches, plus one starting stud, for a total requirement of 21 studs to frame a 20-foot wall.

Drywall installation costs $1.15 to $2 per square foot on metal stud framing or $2,300 for an average 2,000-square-foot house. The total cost for metal framing and drywall ranges from $20 to $30 per linear foot. Metal frames often seem light, but they can be exceptionally strong once drywall or sheathing is attached.
