Day 1 of the job, Brandon calls to let us know that we do not need to do the work as he took the time and effort to get other opinions on the installation of a beam. Again, character. He could have easily installed, but he took the time to do right by his customer and that, in our experience, is essentially unheard of. The work he completed for us-on schedule-was more than we could have hoped for. He really does great work, listens to the customer (we are guilty of making many changes and talking far too much), but Brandon is beyond patient and willing to work with you. "I cannot say enough wonderful things about Flash Painters. They arrived when they were supposed to, finished the job when t hey said they would, cleaned up when they were done and charged a fair price for the work. When working on the inside of my house, they were meticulous in covering things so no paint got on furniture and when finished, went through the house and made sure I was satisfied with the job in every room. On the outside of the house, they did everything necessary to make the house look good, pounding in nails, filling woodpecker holes, and caulking where needed. They even came in and made sure all my windows opened and put screens in. I later hired Flash again to stain my deck and paint a ceiling. I am planning on selling in the near future and they helped make my house look great. I would highly recommend them."

"The drain assembly on my bathroom sink gave out after twenty years or so, and there was no way I was going to be able to get the darned thing off without a hacksaw. So I purchased a "Big Deal" from Cuddy Bros. to put on a new faucet and drain. They showed up on time, wrested the old drain assembly off, and put on the new faucet and drain without a hitch. It went quickly and smoothly. Six months later the installation is still fine; nothing leaks. I am completely satisfied."

"My first experience with Julio was an after-hours discovery that my water heater was going out. I urgently called a few people, then a Boston number for "emergency plumbing." The answering service was very kind and helpful in connecting me to Julio, and through a back and forth process of texts and iphone photos I was instructed how to turn off the water. It took a couple of hours for him to arrive with an assistant named Michael. They evaluated the situation, then offered to purchase a new Hot Water Heater at Home Depot, which they did, and then offered to continue the work and were all finished that evening--a bonus for me. Although I was a bit concerned about the process of having him do that purchase, I was given the receipt from home depot and the labor and installation cost was less than I paid the last time. I paid him the total with AmEx on a portable card reader. He apologized for the condition of the invoice he gave me, since he had to re-use one and it was a bit messy. Also, I wanted to have a TACO overflow valve installed, but our communication was a bit of a challenge, and I don't believe that was done. However, he did a reasonable job of cleaning up a tough basement situation. On the basis of this work, I hired the company again to install a new faucet in the kitchen, and to replace a garbage disposal. This time I shopped for both. Michael was sent at the agreed upon time, and did a fine job on the faucet. When it was time to replace the disposal, he consulted with Julio by phone and asked if I would like him first to try to repair the disposal, quoting me a labor cost that was lower than it would be for replacement. I agreed, and he was able to find the cause of the jam and I returned the new disposal. A happy result. This time I paid by check, I will call again as the need arises. I feel they do good work, with none of the high pressure or cost that I have had in the past with others doing similar work, and they are very nice people."

"I had a leak in my oil tank and could not find someone that could replace my tank in less than 6 weeks, Paul called me back and really tried to help me out, he could install in less than 2 weeks since mine was leaking, in the end my oil company was able to get someone in sooner so I had to go with them given the cold weather we were having and needed to have heat in my house, I just wanted to let people know that this company got back to me and tried to help when I could not get others to even call me back. "Russ was excellent. Our home is historic with old plumbing and he kept us informed of our options to unclog the drains and used several methods to get them working, without damaging the existing pipes. He is very knowledgeable about plumbing and materials used in the 1930's and before, and took that into consideration before performing any work. One sink drain just would not clear, so he scheduled us for a second visit, giving us time to clear out a closet, and carefully measured and cut through a small section of closet wall to get at the piping. After clearing the clog, he replaced and updated a section of piping, and was very helpful about how he thought it best to repair the wall. My husband did some minor carpentry, and both our sinks are clearing better than they have been in many years. I would definitely use Provost Plumbing and Russ for all our other plumbing jobs. He is nice, professional, and prompt!"

Ivaldo and his son, Angelo (who did the work) did a great job pricing the job and even had an electrician they worked with do the lighting installation. Very nice and professional people and we would most certainly call on them again for other jobs we have planned at our house.
