I have to share my 1st attempt on hiring the right guy for this project. It consisted of me getting a couple recommended contractors from others and thought I was good. Instead it was terrible, to the point where we mutually agreed it was best for them to remove the decking and poorly installed addition and walk away. Naturally I cautiously interviewed several more deck builders before deciding on MN Construction.
From the 1st call, Trevor impressed me. He made time out of his busy schedule to stop by or take my calls. He gave me an clear overview, answered questions and concerns from the last guy's work, explained why when asked, left samples, etc. He suggested deferent designs and product over others and why, building my confidence quickly. After we traded a few emails/texts, my decision to go with MN Construction was an easy one.
During the project, with a crew of 3, progress was made quickly. They were efficient, hard working, and asked questions when needed. The results are more than we expected to get because of his recommendations and I know our deck with last longer because of the quality of work/product they used. When I'd point out this or that, boom done, and better than expected. After interviewing several and hiring a couple, it's hard to find guys like this out there. You can bet they will be getting another call from me on other remodel work and I have already passed their name on.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the bathroom remodels performed by Construction as Investment, LLC. We needed to remodel two of our three bathrooms. The two bathrooms are of moderate size, yet we had received estimates ranging from $25-$50,000, which seemed extreme. We then saw the big deal the company was offering for a full bathroom remodel for $5,000 and purchased two of the big deals after researching and finding good reviews on their work.



Vitaly was the project manager and he took the time to answer our questions and provided good suggestions for a few tricky details in our spaces. He also provided all of the needed measurements and instructions so we could confidently go and pick out all of the materials we wanted to use. This was especially helpful with the tile since my wife and I have never done a project with tile before and weren't experts by any means at understanding what to look for and what we would need. Before and during the remodels, I primarily communicated with Vitaly by texting and he was always prompt in responding. This method of communicating was quick and efficient and made it easy to keep the work moving.



Viktor is the companies "bathroom guy" and is an amazing craftsman and hard worker. He actually did both bath remodels all on his own, yet completed the work quicker than the time estimates we had gotten from the other companies that had given us estimates. And it wasn't from cutting corners, etc. Instead, Viktor's work was outstanding. Our city inspector even remarked about the high quality of workmanship on the remodels. Viktor is a very kind, quite and honorable individual. Because we had two bathroom remodels, Viktor spent a fair amount of time in our home and he really felt like a friend by the time the remodels were complete. We were actually sad when the remodels were finished because it meant we wouldn't see him anymore. When has anyone ever said that about someone working in their home? Our nanny homeschools our youngest daughter, so they and our dog were around the house each day with Viktor. He was always friendly to them and they enjoyed seeing him each day.



About a month after the remodels were complete, we had a crack in the grout in the corner of one of the showers. I texted Vitaly and he made arrangements for Viktor to stop back over one evening and make the repair. There was no hassle in resolving the issue and it was nice to see their commitment to doing the right thing even after the work is over and they've been paid.



We had a tremendous experience with this company and would highly recommend them to others looking for a company that does good work and stands behind it.

"The contractor lives in our area. We asked for an estimate. Scott came over gave us options & opinions & listened to what we had for ideas as well, he gave us a fair estimate for both jobs. Built the deck & installed, garage door in a timely manner. "Let me say, there are fencing companies, and then, there is Garden Structures & More.  You really cannot even begin to compare the two.  Hal is a top-notch craftsman from start to finish.  This was not a typical fencing job, where sections are brought in, posts are set into the ground and the sections attached to the posts.  This was an entirely different experience.  The fence was built on site, board by board.  The vertical boards in the lattice actually go all the way down to the bottom of the fence. Of course, doing it that way requires a bit of a mathematical genius, when you are dealing with different width boards in between the lattice boards-- especially when you get into the corners where sections need to be a different width from the standard size. I also realized how much care was taken in dealing with the slight level differences in my yard. Hal was careful to make adjustments when possible, so that the top line of the fence remained level, even though the ground did not.  It is sturdier than any fence I've ever seen, and the attention to detail is wonderful.  Every side of each board is routered to give it a softer edge.  The posts don't need a cap.  The tops are routered the same as the rest of the fence, and they look simple and clean, a lovely complement to the clean lines of the fence as a whole.  The double gate with arbor is really beautiful.  I'm not a fan of black hardware, and Hal supplied some beautiful stainless that looks so much nicer.  Hal started right on schedule, and ended exactly when he said he would.  And, he is very thoughtful.  Not only did he build me a beautiful fence, but he put up a bird feeder that I hadn't gotten around to doing myself, and even brought my garbage cans into the garage on garbage day!  In the days since the fence was completed, I have received many compliments on the fence and arbors from people walking by.  And, they have also commented on what a nice crew installed my fence-- that it seemed like a great group of guys.  I would use Garden Structures and More again, in a heartbeat.  It was a great experience!
