"They did a great job on the foundation repair adding 8 push piers and successfully moving the foundation back into place. However, in their rush they put a hole in the back of my house with the backhoe and it took them almost 6 months to repair and repaint the damage. I still recommend them since they were the only ones with the correct foundation fix."

"This company is top notch. They fixed my sagging floor and it now looks beautiful. My house was built n 1902 and can be a challenge at times to work on. They were professional and did the job in less time then they original thought. I am so very pleased with their work. I would hire them again in a minute for any foundation and floor leveling needs. Thank\ you Acculevel!!!!!"

"Jared arrived on time on June 20. I had pictures of the water on the basement floor as well as pictures of my home being built in 2010 to show him what I am concerned about. I have pictures of the entire outside of the foundation before it was back filled. While there he thought that the poured concrete walls and floor was a bad pour. There is a gap between the floor and walls as big as a half inch in some places. Using a moisture meter he said that the walls were too wet. The seams were damp. He noticed the cracked walls. He said that was from pressure from the outside. Probably the back fill wasn't done properly. He thinks the solution is to dig up the entire foundation and redo the back fill. And the space between the floor and walls should have a rubber gasket to stop the water from entering the house. He answered all my questions.
I asked him to include in his report his opinion on what the solution might be. My house is only three years old and still under warranty for construction defects. He said he'd send the report in a few days.
After calling three times, today, eighteen days later I received the "report" from someone else at Municipal. Someone named Mike. It's a one page "circle the right answer" form. Fifteen items. There was no recommendation for a solution. This couldn't be done on site?
I now believe that this inspection deal was just a way to cull new customers for their stamped concrete business. I won't be a customer because I have an awesome paver patio installed by another A rated Angies List service provider.

"I have used Rich on a few other projects around the house including replacing my roof and waterproofing the basement.  Rich is very knowledgeable , honest, hard working and has reasonable prices.  He shows up when he says he will and cleans up at the end of every day.  I highly recommend him and will use him again for other projects I have planned."

"The remodel turned out very well. The open concept opened up the the kitchen and made it brighter. There is now more usable counter space and usable cabinet/storage space. All new Amish made cabinets were installed along with new granite countertops, with a granite composite double sink. All new lighting was also installed. I am overall very pleased with the outcome."

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Ravenna, OH

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
