"This sewer line project required a few days from camera work to excavation, replacement of pipe, installation of an additional clean-out, backfill and clean up of not only our excavation area, but consideration of our neighbor's shrub close to the work area. Chris and Ryne, the company supervisors/representatives, provided knowledgable and detailed information prior to, during and upon completion of the work. They were professional and exceptionally courteous in person, to our neighbors, and over the phone. This was especially important as one of us was out of state during the project, and the other had to leave early for another trip out of state. That meant the final inspections and details were handled by the guys for us. Excellent work, start to finish!"

"Very well. Mike and Bob arrived on time. Diagnosed source of leak in crawl space quickly. Left to get materials to do repair and finished it promptly. Very polite. Repair was costly but $65 coupon for Angie's list brought price down to a more reasonable range. Would hire again."

"We were in a jam. We are attempting to buy our first home. We had our inspection scheduled and on the morning of, we learned of a potential plumbing issue. There was a report filed with the city stating that a couple of years ago there was some kind of sewer back up. This house is old, so I wanted to make sure we weren't signing up for any potential problems. I called around to local plumbers in the area. NONE of them were able to accommodate our need on this shortened time frame. I got Zach's number from a contractor friend of mine and in a last ditch effort gave him a call. Unlike some of the other plumbers I'd spoken with, Zach validated my concerns and informed me that he would recommend that I have my system inspected. He was very patient with my partner and I, making room for us that evening to show up in exemplary fashion. He did a full inspection of our sewer lines with a camera and explained to us what the different piping meant. He then tested our water pressure and advised us to request that the seller offer concessions to cover the cost of putting in a pressure reduction valve. He explained the reasoning behind his recommendations and took time to insure that we understood why he was recommending these services. He also took the time to explain and answer questions about potential upgrades as my partner wants to upgrade the hot water tank. He outlined different product options and explained with great knowledge and detail the differences between the products. I would highly recommend this company. If we get the home we will definitely be having this company come back and preform the necessary work that is needed for our new home."

"Jerry was very enjoyable and professional in replacing a bent lead toilet connection which had leaked at the toilet. He replaced the old lead connection to the cast iron sewer pipe with modern ABS pipe and installed a flange to attach the new toilet to when the floor is completed."

"They did a great job. Response time was very fast. Our sewer pipe was clogged they cleared it right away, were very professional and gave us a bid to line the sewer pipe to prevent future problems. They also located our clean out that was buried in our yard that the gardener covered. Communication was excellent They are now on our list for any plumbing issues that may arise in the future. "Anthony, the plumber that came out and performed the work was great, he was on-time, friendly, and overall very pleasant and knew his job well. He performed the work needed and got everything fixed up and we were able to turn our water back on. The price for the repair, however, was huge. Unfortunately it was a main line in the house and really was an "emergency" repair so I expected it to not be cheap, but nearly $1000 for a valve and a fitting replacement. Yes, I appreciate that they were able to get someone out same day but there is no way the technician made anywhere near that for the hour and half he was there. This company is banking on this kind of situation."

"All Pro Plumbing completed a rebuild of three toilets. After Home Advisor recommended them, All Pro provided an estimate within a day, and completed the project within a week. They were on time, very polite, and knowledgeable. Of the three estimates I received for these repairs, they were the least expensive and most professional of the companies I received estimates from. I would definitely hire All Pro Plumbing again and am happy to recommend hiring them."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Renton, WA

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
