"Paul was amazing to work with, as was his son. In Phase 1, they tore down the fence and deck, took the debris away, and built a clean, well-constructed fence in very little time and left everything absolutely clean. A few months later we had a pergola installed by another company. Paul had previously given us an estimate for a deck to fit the pergola that we felt very reasonable and he stayed within that estimate for the final construction. On the day they arrived on-site, we added an additional component not in the original bid and he immediately said he could do it, and charged an extremely reasonable price for the additional work. The actual deck is extremely well designed and well-crafted - very professional, and blends beautifully with our old craftsman-style home. He and his son were hard, expert workers. I've had other contractors that stood around or took long lunches. In comparison, Paul and his son worked through a hailstorm and cold weather. They accomplished the whole deck in three days from start to finish, and left the site completely clean when they left. We really can't recommend Paul enough. They were professional, courteous, excellent workers. Their work was very solid and well-done. We would hope to hire them again for any construction we had in mind."

"Stellar Construction replaced our old, 2-level cedar deck with a new, 2-level composite deck with cable railing and lighting. Everyone associated with the job - from the owner (Micah), to the project manager (Taylor), to the crew (Austin and Ryan) - was professional, punctual and easy to deal with. They also were quick to address lighting issues that arose after the job was completed (and after they had already been paid), which indicates they care about their customers and their reputation. "Excellent experience with our roof replacement from beginning to end. Our sales rep Lee was extremely personable, spent a lot of time ensuring we had details upfront, and was on par with his follow up. The crew that put roof on was on time every day, very interactive and educational at every step, and worked tirelessly despite the heat. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away after completion. "We hired Fine Finish (Mark) to design and build a 2-car attached garage with partially finished space overhead, including a small finished office.
It's hard to list all the ways Mark and Travis went above and beyond during our garage addition project. First, they worked through some of the worst weather an Oregon winter has to offer. While most of Portland was crippled due to flooding, Mark and Travis were hauling shingles up a 2-story ladder and installing our roof. When they were planning the gutter installation, they noticed that our existing gutters were still full of oak leaves. So they cleaned the gutters. They were especially patient with our 18 month-old son, who affectionately referred to them as the ?guys? and took a keen interest in everything they did.
Mark anticipated future design aspects that we hadn?t thought of like leaving space and wiring in the garage for a central HVAC
system. He asked insightful questions about future plans to make sure our money was spent wisely, now and in the future. Even during the design phase, Mark was very transparent about different cost-saving options and associated tradeoffs. 
We expected that once the work started, we would mostly be dealing with subcontractors. To our surprise, only the foundation work, gutters, and garage door installation were sub-contracted. Mark and Travis did all of the framing and finish work themselves. As a result, the quality of our addition is noticeably superior to that of our original home.
If you want someone to hire an army of people to throw your project together as quickly as possible, look elsewhere. If you want the attention to detail of a craftsman and an honest, no-nonsense interaction with someone who takes pride in his work and has your best interests at heart, talk to Mark. We?re glad we did and we?ll definitely be back in the future.

"Dave came out and estimated the work within a couple days of calling. He was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions on what he felt was the best solution for my very worn, weathered decks. I appreciated the fact that Dave was on time and finished the work within a few days as promised. I was impressed at how much pride he takes in his work and that fact that he does not take any shortcuts. In fact, he included additional work that he felt was needed at no extra cost. I am very pleased with the work he did and and the amount paid for the work. The total cost included about $200-$250 for a specific brand of stain I requested, which was a little spendy (but very good quality). Overall, Dave did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him."
