"We had been considering replacing gas logs in a fireplace in our house. They were very low end and poor quality with absolutely no energy efficiency. As a result, we never used the fireplace.  <br /> We went to the show room at Northwest metalcraft and the staff there were very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us on our options. They have a broad range samples right in the store, so it was helpful to be able to see the units and options. We were able to have a representative come and measure and quickly provide a quote on the options.  <br /> The removal of the old unit and installation of the new one went smoothly.  <br /> We did have a few hiccups with the unit itself - for example, a rattling noise when the fan was on high and then, a month or two later, some of the finish on the door came off because it had not "cured" properly. In both cases, Scott, who had installed the unit, was very responsive in coming to address the issues, both of which were easily resolved. It is good to know that they stand behind their products and are committed to customer satisfaction. <br /> As far as the unit itself, it was definitely a bit of an investment, but one I wish we had made years ago. We LOVE the gas insert. And, it has definitely saved us money on heating as we use it in the family room, which is the most used room of the house and also the coldest, as the only room situated on a slab and between three doors leading to the outside. We can keep that room cozy without having to turn on (or up) the heat for the rest of the house.  <br /> All in all, I would recommend both gas inserts and Northwest Metalcraft as a place that provides a good selection and commitment customer satisfaction. <br />"

The building team led by Matt did extremely high quality work and were great to design with as the project progressed. They were very neat and hard working. "From the beginning, David was interested in making sure we had exactly what we wanted. Initially, we wanted to re-use as much of the old stone as possible. Halfway through the project though, we realized that would be "penny wise but pound foolish". David and his crew were always willing to do anything to make us happy. His "we can do that" attitude made the whole process a pleasure. The crew was extremely professional, timely, and always cleaned up and protected the work site between visits. Communication about the work schedule was also excellent. The best thing about the crew that we loved, was their pride in the high quality of their work. If they thought of an improvement, a suggestion was made. We could decide, but without any pressure or sales tactics. Instead of a patio, we now have a gorgeous outdoor living area that we fondly refer to as the Terrace. I can't recommend them enough!"
