"The overall experience from planning, countertop grade selection and installation was excellent. Because of a tight dishwasher installation due to the previous installation of ceramic tiles and associated subfloor, the new countertops had to be installed at a slightly elevated height.  Some other potential bidders would not even consider doing this.  Heartwood even went further, suggesting more than one design accommodation, giving me a choice of options. They were very helpful in guiding my wife and I with the color and material selections.  They guided us through the process including measurements meeting all deadlines within their projected time frames. Measurement and installation was done in a courteous and professional manner. They coordinated with a plumber and appliance installer who they recommended. His work was of equal high quality. We stayed in contact with Heartwood prior to installation as I had some additional questions. On installation day, everything went like clockwork. Very impressed with the precision of the fit of the countertops and the invisibility of the one seam that was required in a large surface. <br />"

"Almost since we moved into our house 5 years ago, we’ve wanted to have two custom pieces of furniture built: a long, built-in shoe bench by the front door and a custom bed to optimize the space in an upstairs bedroom. Jed did both absolutely beautifully. Each piece looks like it was originally part of the house, works exactly like we wanted and more than a year later still looks just as gorgeous and has held up flawlessly. That’s despite being used and abused by a family of 4 including a 2 year old and a 5 year old. The shoe bench did the impossible of both making our entryway look much less crowded and also expanding the amount of storage space we had by at least a factor of 3. We finally have enough space for all of our shoes and had extra space for packages, reusable grocery sacks, and backpacks. The bed took a room that wasn’t really big enough to play in between the dresser, bed and desk and made it into a space that had more storage and also enough space for our 5 year old to really play in and enjoy his room. At each step of the way, Jed was meticulously detail-focused and worked with us to get everything exactly the way we wanted. That included things like using leathered granite on the benchtop so that it was as durable as stone, but wouldn’t show small scratches from keys in pockets, making the bed so it could be rotated 90 degrees, and adding adjustable feet to raise the bed as the carpet under it inevitably sagged. Jed also brought his own aesthetic sense to the projects. The molding he put along the bottom of the shoe bench took it from being a very-nice-looking shoe bench to something that I can’t imagine having been done better that perfectly matches it’s surroundings. The feet on the bed and the inset detail on the side of the bench and drawers on the bed also come from his vision. We could not be happier with the work and they’re the two most impactful improvements we’ve made to the inside of our house since we moved in. We have a few more plans for improvements we’d like to make including an unconventionally shallow closet in an upstairs bedroom that we will definitely have Jed back to do."

"My husband and I used Eco-nize to design and install our master bedroom closet and kitchen pantry. We are very impressed with the quality of their product, and the consistently exceptional customer service provided by everyone with whom we have interacted . After the installation, we changed our minds about a few things, and Eco-nize was very accommodating, prompt and helpful in making our changes. Their installers were friendly and professional. "The cabinets were delivered on time and we were pleased with the quality. There were a few minor problems, but Cabinet Discounters sent someone out to take care of things. We loved our salesperson, Bekki Skeans, but unfortunately she left the company before our kitchen was finished. Another salesperson took over, and he did fine. My only reservation about this company is that the salesperson/designer does not come out to the site. They do the design based on blueprints and photos. I was not comfortable with this, so I hired another designer, but in the end we purchased out cabinets from Cabinet Discounters because they did have great cabinets for reasonable prices. <br />"

"We are extremely happy with the remodel performed by Virginia Kitchen and Bath and have already recommended them to several friends. We planned our remodel for late September and obtained four quotes from different contractors in early June and signed the contract in July. Virginia Kitchen and Bath was not the cheapest but were fairly priced based on what we wanted done. We chose them because they were able to accommodate our schedule, incorporate our needs and successfully anticipated and addressed some of the difficulties that we faced. There were no surprise costs! WORK DONE: They removed all existing cabinets, redesigned the layout (moved electrical, gas and water connections, got the permits!) and installed flooring, cabinets with granite counter tops and new lighting. The design team (Leon and Bo) was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They came to our home a couple of times and met with us a couple of times in their office to design and adjust the layout based on what we were looking for. They showed us a 3-D rendering of what everything would look like before we finalized selections. All materials and appliances were selected and ordered in July. Work started the third week in September and was finished 2.5 weeks later. Crew: I would say that 85% of the work was done by crew supervisor and two workers. They were extremely punctual, meticulous, worked to completion and it showed on the quality of the final product. Trash was removed regularly from the premises."

"Outstanding customer service from beginning to end. Prior to starting work met with us both at their store and at our home and then they prepared detailed plans and provided estimate for work to be performed. All work was completed on time and within budget. Paul and Dominic provided onsite oversight and management of the various crews that performed the work. They carefully removed old cabinets so that we could reuse in garage and basement for additional storage. Started with installation of cabinets and island, then installed granite counters/island, and then ceramic flooring. Electrician also installed undercounter lights and outlets. Due to appliance vendors backlog for downdraft granite installer needed to return to cut space for cooktop and downdraft. This phase was done perfectly allowing the appliance vendor to install the blower and induction cooktop. Paul coordinated all work and was very responsive. Always returned my phone calls with 1--2 hours. Both Paul and Dominic closely monitored work performed. GREAT JOB! Highly recommend. FYI - sign on store in Burke says Carpets and Floors, Inc. <br />"
