The only complaint I had was that I was new to home ownership and remodeling and I wish they had sat down with me and told me line by line - you have to do this, pick this out, go buy this, etc... instead I felt rushed with my decisions b/c they had started to work and I hadn't picked certain things out (like a shower drain cover or something like that). I also wished they had someone that worked a little more on the interior design side along with the space planning. "After interviewing a couple other custom woodworkers, Mark came in and quoted us the lowest price and highest-quality construction. His solid-walnut bookcase estimate was 30% cheaper than another local builder offering laminate. Mark spent at least 3 meetings with us helping us decide what style and features we wanted, since we were novices. Over the course of a couple months, he built the bookcase completely from scratch, at which point we got back together to choose an appropriate finish. During this time, he would send weekly photo updates of the progress, which were surprisingly enjoyable to track. After finishing, Mark installed the bookcase over the course of 3-ish days. We are extraordinarily happy with the bookcase and the process. Although it took longer than originally planned, the weekly photo updates were very enjoyable, and the bookcase met all our expectations. We would hire Mark again in a heartbeat and recommend him wholeheartedly."
