"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"I called the company to have them come and look at some shingles that were not laying correctly.  Prior to their arrival, my daughter backed one of our vehicles into the side of the garage while pulling out, bending the track for the garage door and damaging the side of the garage (broke the 2x4, split the sheeting, etc.).  Mike came out on a holiday because I am in the process of selling my home and needed to have the repairs made ASAP.  He completed not only the roof repair, but replaced the side of the garage and straightened the garage door track.,  And, he cleaned up the garage when he was done.  This company has been extremely responsive and Mike genuinely cares about his customers.  He is friendly and caring and has been a pleasure to work with.  Because of him, I think my house is sold and the family buying it is happy with the repairs completed."

"I contacted Home Adviser looking for someone to install a WiFi compatible garage door opener. When I made the inquiry to Home Advisor it was no more than 30 seconds after I pushed the enter key for the inquiry that Jason contacted me by phone! Wow. What service. He gave me a quote for the job and after checking around I gave the job to Jason. I requested a certain model of opener which he did not have in stock and he mentioned he did not have that model in stock and would order it and would be in in a couple of weeks give or take. That was ok for me as my current opener was still working. It arrived in under two weeks and we scheduled it to be installed. The installation went great. He was professional, he arrived when scheduled to do so, he did a wonderful job, including cleaning up and hauling away of the old opener. He also took time to oil my door hinges and roller wheel bearings on my existing door without additional charge. I would recommend his services to others!"

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
