"I had an outstanding experience with MVFix for repairing my kitchen dishwasher. From the moment I scheduled the appointment, their communication was exceptional-prompt responses to my inquiries, clear explanations of the process, and a friendly tone that immediately put me at ease. The technician arrived right on time, which was a huge relief during a busy week, and he greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism that made the whole interaction enjoyable. He quickly diagnosed the issue, provided a detailed and accurate quote upfront with no hidden surprises or upselling, demonstrating true transparency and expertise. Valentine's master-level professionalism shone through in every step: he worked efficiently yet carefully, explaining what he was doing as he went along, he was polite, respectful of my home, and even shared a few helpful maintenance tips to prevent future problems. If you're dealing with appliance issues call MVFix. Highly recommend!!!"

"He did the job and it ended up being $200 (40%) more than the quote, although it seems like maybe it was more complicated than he anticipated. He did drop the vent onto the stove (he hadn't properly secured it to the wall). Everything worked fine, although there was a minor scratch on the vent (it was a new install). I would have appreciated a discount after that or at least to honor the original quote. "

"I had a leaking dishwasher. Frankie at Appliance Techs called me, arrived at my house, diagnosed the problem (broken water pump), and replaced the broken part within two hours. Frankie was very friendly, gave an accurate quote, and the rate was very reasonable, too. I saved his number and will definitely use Appliance Techs in the future."

Customers say: Quality work

"could not fix our appliance. Said the part was not compatible; so why come back with the wrong bits. I appreciate the effort but service wasnt the best. The guy seemed competent but admitted that hed been sent back out with the wrong part. Felt embarrassed by this. Definitely not going with this one next time. . At the end of the day I felt like I had spent the initial amount just to be told that there was nothing to be done. I believe that I would have been better off if I had just forgotten about the idea of repairing the device and just gone with outright replacement. If I sound sore about the whole incident to be honest I am. My frustration is probably more directed at the dysfunctional elements of the machine itself and not the man but still. He took the time to ask some uncomfortable personal questions of my wife and this made me very upset. Definite pass."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Rogers-Park, IL

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
