"We're very happy with the end result, including Winston employees' promptness and professionalism. Initially, we wanted the chimney exterior brick cleaned plus a new cap to replace a screen covering the top of the flue. When Lenny provide us with "before" photos, as a result of cracks in the cement crown, we scheduled its replacement, also. "After" photos confirmed all work was done."

"We would not hire this company again. We hired them to inspect our fireplace. They gave us a quote of what was needed in order to use our fireplace safely. Everything in the fireplace was visible during their initial inspection. Before the work was done, I asked if we could use the fireplace safely once the work was complete. They confirmed that we could. After they did repairs, they said more work was needed to make the fireplace safe. The work they mentioned was all visible at the initial inspection. Essentially they sent us a low quote for part of the work in order to force us to pay for more work to use the fireplace. We’ve asked them to complete the work to make the fireplace safe as that is what we were told we would get with the initial quote, but they refuse. We’re out of a deposit now and still can’t use the fireplace. Be aware of a low quote with additional work required after. We don’t know a lot about fireplaces so we usually trust the information a company gives us, so do a lot of a research with what they send you."

"Prouty did a great job on the chimney liners and ultimately the chimney cap repair. I rated them a C on responsiveness and professionalism specifically for an issue related to finishing the chimney cap in April when the weather conditions allowed for the repair. We financed the project over a six month period. I had requested that they provide pictures of the finished work including the chimney cap. Other companies we have used in the past provide before and after pictures. However, we were told that because they had already completed the chimney cap repair, they would not return to take pictures. It wasn't until we withheld the final payment that they agreed to return and provide pictures; only to find out that the work had not been completed. They were apologetic about the error in the paperwork, but I can't help thinking if we had not withheld the final payment, we would have been unaware that the repair had not been completed. I believe I would hire them again, but would have to make sure to verify the completed work."

I was quickly contacted by Roof Right to set up and appointment and Randy came by to take a look and give me an estimate. He was courteous and professional, easy to talk to. Communication: Scheduling the initial estimate was easy and timely, while communications continued throughout the process. Scoping Work: This is probably the most important first step in any project and often either messed up or purposely inflated. The technician actively listened to my desires and provided detailed advice and options. For this project, we needed the chimney covers on two chase chimneys replaced and a reframing on one of them with rotted wood. Quality of Work: Stainless steel chase covers were powder-coated in black and caps and pipe painted to match. Thomas went out of his way to ensure we got the best looking result we could despite some hiccups on our communication on that end product. The result was very satisfactory. Pricing: Price was the best of three highly ranked Angie’s List companies and regardless, they price match. Chim Chim-Churee's expertise, practical scoping, willingness to explain the details of the project, timely communication, and excellent work took the hassle out of this project. Their willingness to ensure we got the product we wanted despite some miscommunications went a long way in building trust for future projects."
