"Bob and Elaine Weatherford were excellent to deal with. Bob gave me a detailed printed estimate within a few minutes after he looked over the old system. The estimate included a sizable Angie's List discount, and it was the lowest quote of the three companies I chose from Angie's List. The company took care of the building permit, utility rebate paperwork, and many other details of the job. Lorenzo led the installation crew and the technicians were experienced and professional. A Lennox AC/heating system was installed along with new duct work. The crew placed plastic sheeting down on the floors to keep them clean and at every stage paid attention to the details that made me confident they were doing a great job. The old system and materials were removed by the company. The required independent HERS inspection was conducted to make sure the entire system is free of air leaks.  A detailed and lengthy warranty period accompanied the installation along with a 2-year maintenance agreement.

"I asked that 3 things be done.  (1) To replace a shower spout, (2) To fix two stoppers in two bathroom sinks, (3) To unplug a sewer or water line that was causing water to back up in bathroom and kitchen whenever the dishwasher or clothes washing machine was run.  
First, the person who schedules appointments for Jerry to set up a time to have the work done failed to get back to me within a week of me requesting an appointment for work to be done.
Second, the person (not Jerry) who did come to do the work arrived a half hour earlier than the time the appointment scheduler told me.  This I am sure of.
Third, the repairman who did come was (1) unable to replace the shower spout, saying that the spout I had purchased (a supposedly universal spout) could not be used, (2) unable to fix the stoppers properly, sort of fixed one but not the other (said he did not have the clip or whatever to fix it---a seemingly minor part to me), (3) unable to unplug the water or sewer line.  The repairman "tried" and was there for 2 hours plus, and even Jerry came out to help.  The bottom line was that I spent $119 or so and very little was accomplished.  However, I acknowledge that Jerry did, after I requested this a couple weeks later (after the problems got fixed by others), refund my money fully.
The reason I am unhappy is that these problems were solved in relatively short order by a handyman (who fixed the shower spout and the bathroom sinks stoppers) and another plumber (who fixed the water line back up problem in about 10 minutes by running a power snake through the lines)----but I, of course, had to take time off work to be there for all 3 service people (first Jerry's company, then the handyman, and the other plumber) instead of a single service call.  On the shower spout and sink stopper problems, I really thought those would be simple problems---and my follow-up handyman had no problem fixing them.  For the backed up water/sewer line, the follow-up plumber could not understand why Jerry's man could not fix it, other than to say that a lot of plumbers seem to have difficulties that he could easily overcome himself---as said above, the follow-up plumber did have it fixed in about 10 minutes.
So on the one hand I appreciate getting the refund, so I was just out my time.  On the other hand, I was very disappointed that these problems that were easily solved by others weren't fixed the first time by Jerry's man.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
