"DJ Custom Cabinets (Don Dockery, owner) is a wonderful company to use for custom cabinet work. Last year we thought replacing the kitchen countertops and painting the walls would make our kitchen look more modern. After the work was completed, we realized that we should have replaced the kitchen cabinets as well. We had several contractors look at the cabinets and give us their opinion. We determined that DJ Custom Cabinets was the right team for the job. It was absolutely the right decision! Don has been in this line of business for over 45 years and felt 99% confident that he could put in new kitchen cabinets without removing the new countertops. He built a complex set of braces to hold up the countertops and was successful at removing the lower cabinets without any damage to the new countertops. He then slid the new lower cabinets under the braced countertops with no damage to the countertops. He replaced all the other cabinets as well. It was amazing to watch him do this. The cabinets are beautiful. His work is absolutely the best. Don and his team are great with communication and very respectful. We never had a call that wasn’t answered or returned quickly. He kept us informed throughout the process. The process was explained thoroughly. Timeline for work completion was right on. We highly recommend DJ Custom Cabinets for any custom cabinet work. You won’t be disappointed."

"Vince Parrino’s Gemini Builders, a 5-star company, is stellar on so many levels. Read the reviews: great communicator; courteous; professional; punctual, easy to work with; and, an artisan craftsman with an eye for detail. So I hired him to re-remodel a bathroom shower that developed cracks in the wall tile. Everything I read about him was true. And that “eye for detail” thing? The step-over into the shower is usually made out of a 2x4 piece of wood with tile attached. His 2x4 was made of cement, thus eliminating the possibility of tiles popping off. He made the shampoo cubby of marble with metal edging to match the metal he used to finish off the edges of the wall tile. And his bid was VERY competitive. His proposal was clear and detailed so that we both knew what to expect. But here’s the difference that I appreciated so much. Vince both bid on the job and did the work, so we were both clear on the scope of work. Also I knew him well enough to feel comfortable with him."

"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

"It?s a long story but the short of it is that it was made known the type of doors we wanted on our patio enclosure. It took 6 months to begin the project and we didn?t get what we ordered. We approved the drawing believing the drawings showed doors as requested but not being an architect we misread the drawings, thus having no power to force the issue. They did agree to put in French doors at cost. So we pay more money. This was an expensive glass patio enclosure which I am enjoying while I wait to see if they fix the leaking from raining. So they are not on my list for any other projects I might have "
