"I contacted Angie s List seeking mold removal, I received contact from eversafe. They came out to give me an estimate. He stated he could start immediately. He said he would send me a contract to signed. I told him I needed to print it out i border to review the contract then I would sign it. They came that Monday did a little work and asked for payment to get started. I paid him the 4000 to start. They came that Tuesday and actually began the work saying they would be finished by the end of the week. They removed everything to get to the baseboards and the drywall that needed to be removed. They removed the flooring as well. Upon removing the flooring I noticed the water was only in the kitchenette area and not as he stated through the entire basement. He removed doors as well. No mold on doors.. I told him that the price would have to be readjusted because the flooring didn t need to be replaced. So daily he came up with something else that needed to be repaired. He said the toilet wasn t screwed down properthe wrong part was put on the furnace, by the end of the week they were not finished. The work continued into the next week. They worked Monday, Tuesday he worker had the stomach flu, they did not show up. Wednesday they showed up to work, but o. Thursday only his worker showed up. On Friday his worker showed up and after asking said his boss was he said he was busy. He began to remove their tools out. I m thinking he is cleaning up to finish the work. He told my partner his boss had started other job. I called him and didn t get an answer I left messages for him to call me back but he didn t. So week two and work isn t completed and now he s not answering.!I had paid him another 1000.00 on Monday or Tuesday. So this Monday August 4th I waited, no show no call. I called twice, no answer. I texted he responded saying he never received calls from me. He began to text which I have copies of them all. He now wants the signed contract in order to complete the work. I refused because now I don t trust him. He claimed the materials he purchased was 5000.00. I told him show me the receipts. No receipts. I have pictures and all text messages also phone records from when I call. The work is still not completed."

"This will be the first of many reviews I submit for Pride Restoration/Jim Seubert/Armored Public Adjusters. One of the WORST decisions I've ever made was trusting this company, it's owners and subcontractors. When I say this was a nightmare, I'm not exaggerating. After a house fire, this project was riddled with absolute ineptitude on the part of management and the workers, shifting the blame constantly, delays that resulted in me being displaced from my home for over a year and a half. I'm still displaced and the stress and strain it's put on me and my family has been profound and unrelenting. Jim Seubert stayed on the job until the insurance money was in his hands and then left me high and dry. Delay after delay, not taking responsibility, blaming everyone including the City of Edwardsville for his ineptitude. It became necessary to involve counsel to even begin to straighten this mess out. The legal termination of Pride Restoration came to a head when one of their subcontractors became so aggressive with me, shouting and coming at me in my front yard, that a neighbor felt it necessary to call for police intervention. Thank God for the new contractors (who will receive glowing reviews soon) who had to go in, assess and repair almost everything that Pride Restoration touched, incur expenses of professional engineers simply to remedy the damages done by Pride Restoration. This ALL came at my cost, draining all savings/retirement money, since Pride Restoration received the insurance payout. Per their contract, subcontractors were to be paid by them for their work, which he hasn't done and subsequently, I'm now being sued. This nightmare hasn't ended yet as we continue to find out more each day. Please....if you have a fire or water damage, do not use this company. Do your homework. Especially if you are a single woman, it seems that we are the targeted prey for companies like this. Interestingly enough, because I've been vocal about my experience, multiple people have contacted me stating almost the exact thing happened to them. As this pattern emerges, I will continue to share these experiences so that the marginalized and vulnerable have all the information. After a horrendous event such as a fire/house explosion, where we lost everything, it is a vulnerable time where one doesn't make decisions well due to the trauma and shock. Jim Seubert presented himself as a public adjuster and the company as someone who would advocate on my behalf. Not only did that not happen but quite the opposite. This is exactly the time when a reputable and honorable company would walk you through this event with compassion instead of taking advantage of vulnerable people in vulnerable moments. I've lived here 30+ years. Many friends/acquaintances continue to ask why I'm not back in my house yet. When I share the story, they are horrified and incensed that this type of greedy behavior still goes on in our town. Many want the name of the company who treats people so poorly. I'm happy to provide them with that information."
