"Can't say enough good things about this company. Our central air went down, and Louisiana HVAC was the only service that would come out on the same day. We needed a new part, as it turned out, but Dax was able to perform a temporary fix, which held up perfectly. Two days later, he was back with the part. Had it fixed within an hour, and the price was reasonable. Dawn kept us updated throughout the entire process. If we need service again, we are definitely calling them first."

"They are fine. It was just a basic service. It took them a while to get back to me after a few calls. I called 3 or 4 times because I have to have this done and have them give me a quote to wrap the pipes and they didn’t call me back and I ended up not getting it done because I called 3 or 4 times and they never got back to me."

"Our condo has a "utility room" that is 10 feet above floor level, behind a small access door. I described this by phone to Mike, and he was familiar with similar units in the area. He gave a rough estimate then of $1450, which would be refined when one of his people physically inspected and took measurements. That person arrived on time, and confirmed that there was room to remove the old unit and install the slightly larger new unit. Brian and a partner returned early the next morning, exactly on time, and completed the replacement. Because it took less time than expected, they lowered the final charge to $1350. Not an easy job to remove an old short & wide unit via a ladder, and change over the hook ups in a tight space. Another reviewer said they posted a service request via the web form and got no follow up. I tried to use that and discovered that it didn't work, failing to invoke some third-party form handler service. These kind of foibles seem more common with small businesses who have someone create their minimal web site and then not maintain it. Just call them instead."

"Checked toilets in each bathroom.  Changed flapper in one bathroom.  I thought the advertisement was for two toilet changes but I was wrong.  He |checked thoroughly the operation of each toilet and suggested future repairs .   Also, checked leaky bathtub faucet and suggested change.  Kelly's was to get back with me via email to submit an estimate for all repairs.  I have yet to receive any follow up."

"It went perfectly.  He knew exactly what to do.  He wasn't even there ten minutes.  I had called quiet a few other plumbers, none of which would schedule hours after 3 PM.  I finally found an Angie's List plumber who said they'd come, but they didn't show up.   I highly recommend Moret Plumbing because these guys don't have banker's hours...they have true service hours so that you don't have to take a vacation day (or in some instances lose pay) just to have work done at your home.  I will always call Moret Plumbing for my needs from now on...

"Came to house promptly. Chipped out the brick and mortar. Found the leak. Replaced he pipe going into the house and the pipe coming up from the ground. Put in new ball c*** shutoff valve. Put in new mortar. David did the work. Very knowledgeable. Friendly. Efficient. All told, it took about a little over 2 hours.

FAQs for gas piping projects in Saint Bernard, LA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
