"The garage door opener installer was here exactly at the time he said he would be and worked efficiently. He was courteous and friendly. He was going to just reuse the wiring instead of replacing it but went ahead and replaced it as I asked. There was one little slight problem when he left without giving me the two remote openers for the door. I just made a couple of calls and he was back a few minutes later and pulled the remotes out of the lighted portion of the opener. I am sorry he had to come back, but I can’t do ladders anymore. It was a simple fix. I was very happy that the company called and offered to move my appointment from a Monday to the previous Friday! That worked out perfectly for me."

I used Angi to look up nearby contractors and A1 came up. They contacted me very quickly and when I acknowledged I needed service, they were on site within the hour! The end result is that they repaired my issue so that I can use the door again. To get to that point - they walked me through what they planned to do. Midway through the repair, they did ask to meet with me to recommend fully replacing all bars, springs, cables and tracks (for about $1600-$1800), but I declined as I was not ready to make that large a decision and may want to change the garage door in the future. There was a bit of back and forth on whether they would tighten the springs which were insufficiently wound, but they did in the end. I would work with them again. I'd prefer full discussion on what they can do to finish the requested job first."
