"Susan and the Clean Cut team have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They have helped take a blank slate (or pile of dirt if you want to be specific) and transform it into a beautiful and practical exterior of our home. They did such a great job that we have utilized their team not only for the first phase of our home landscaping, but then brought them back each of the next two years to continue to implement new ideas & changes we looked for at our home. We have leveraged their team for everything from sod & irrigation, hard scape, custom lights and so much more! Susan and team have always put their customer hat on, helping balance the investment and aesthetics. There is nothing better than watching the fleet of Clean Cut trucks and machinery roll in for a project (when you hire then you’ll know what I mean - it’s impressive!!!). They’re easy to work with and have a great team…nothing but glowing endorsements and promise they will help elevate your home, whether it’s starting from scratch or improving on your existing outdoor set up. Thanks to the Clean Cut team & I’m sure another project is on the horizon…"

"John Haddad is very dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Last fall John transplanted several 4 foot deciduous trees and some boxwood bushes for me. He responded very quickly to my inquiry and made an appointment to complete the job in a timely fashion. He arrived on schedule and completed all the transplants without disturbing all the other vegetation. He also refilled the areas where the trees/bushes were removed. I feel that John offers competivite pricing, is very honest. If he doesn't personally have the knowledge or expertise for the job he is very resourceful and competent, hiring the necessary contractors to complete the job."

"They came out to look at our landscaping. They drew us a plan and everything was fine. They came and did what they said they were going to do. We were happy with their drawing and hiring them. We have the drawing and it’s very nice. If we needed it and if we could afford it we would use them again in the future."

"<p>As I said before, Jesse is not only a fine wood craftsman, but there's nothing he can't do. He can make his own cabinets, doors, mantles, virtually any custom creation you can dream up. I've recommended him to friends for all types of custom jobs and everyone was completely satisfied.  I would trust him for any remodel project, custom build, or something as simple as putting crown moldings in your house.  He's a very friendly, clean-cut, polite, and honorable contractor.   </p> <p><br /> </p>"

"Jeff is very busy this time of year, but would make time to call me with up-dates, for example waiting on materials, rain-out and re-schedule.  If rain was fairly mild, workers kept right on working.  All workers were respectful, and wanted to make my elderly parents happy.  Mom was especially happy that her rose bushes which were anniversary presents from dad were able to be salvaged.  Dad passed away during the project, and Jeff and crew were very respectful of our situation. <br /> Neighbors were excited about the project, and came over to inspect the project daily.  All exclaimed about the great job. <br /> My only regret is that we didn't do this project last year when my dad also could have enjoyed it! <br />"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Salem, MI

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
