"Have you learned about QuietCool whole house fans and are looking for a great local company to have it installed? Well look no further! I found Bob Hancock on Angi's List and he was EXACTLY the person I was wishing for. He completed the project himself with his outstanding Architect Mark. They were both very punctual, extremely knowledgeable, answered my numerous questions in layman's terms and I immediately felt my house was in great hands. Bob and Mark are extremely professional, arrived with all the needed equipment, got right to work, and did not leave a single speck of dust or debris behind! Their work was impeccable and really neat. Estimate/quote was very accurate, fair and within my budget. I full heartedly recommend to you Bob Hancock for your whole house fan project, without any reservations. Beside his outstanding professionalism, he also happens to be a very kind, humble, respectful, transparent, honest and compassionate gentleman."

Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.

FAQs for attic or whole house fan installation projects in San Bernardino, CA

Installing an attic fan lowers attic temperatures and reduces moisture, protecting stored items and extending the life of roofing materials. It also prevents mold, mildew, and paint deterioration, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort in the home. This type of protection helps you avoid costly repairs in the future and maintains the integrity of your home.

Installing an attic fan may require multiple professionals. A roofing specialist or carpenter can create the vent and mount the fan securely, while a licensed electrician connects the system to the home's electrical supply. A dedicated attic fan installer may be able to tackle all of these areas themselves, so be sure to confirm what services they can provide. Hiring qualified professionals ensures the installation is safe and the attic fan operates reliably.

The lifespan of an attic fan depends on the type and how well it is maintained. Passive attic fans can last 40 to 50 years, while electric and solar models typically last 10 to 15 years. Regular cleaning and maintenance help ensure the fan operates reliably and safely. Ask your installation pro for their recommendations for ongoing maintenance and service to help your attic fan last for as long as possible.
