"From start to finish the experience was great. I was so happy with them that I did not do a price comparison. I feel I got my money's worth! I had an area that was just dirt where the patio should have been. When I bought my home, there was a rotty old deck covering this bare patch. I tried using flag stones and vegetation but it never really worked...so I finally called the cement guys to patch it up. <br /> First they gave me a rough estimate over the phone, which helped tremendously, to get a feel for what I would be looking at. Then Ignacio came out and inspected the area and gave me a formal proposal. I liked him immediately and felt confident to move forward. In my previous home I'd had extensive concrete done and knew enough to recognize a quality team. <br /> Sure enough, they came promptly the next day, worked all day and finished and cleaned up with no sign of their having been there. I really liked that they dug down deep, included rebar, and hand tinted the concrete for the final finish. It was exactly what I asked for, a smooth tinted finish. <br />  I still need to arrange the plants a bit, but Ignacio even volunteered to have a guy come back and help me! I am so impressed by their employees, who were courteous and very professional. The work is great. They did a really fine job trying to match a motley colored tile that covers the rest of the patio. "I didn't know where to start to get this thing removed - have not used it for years and will never ever burn another fire in our fireplace! Searched under "chimney" and e/mailed several contractors on Sept 4 got a response from Linda  @ Mr. Chimney  later that day saying that fireplace insert removal  is something they do frequently. (Some contractors won't deal with insert removals - they're extremely heavy, bolted into the firebox, etc). On Sept 8 the owner was here to give us an estimate and detailed explanation of what they needed to do. Then on Sept 12 the crew of two was here to remove the insert and  the long chimney duct (part of the insert), clean the chimney and measure for new damper. By Sept 15 (that was fast!)  the damper was ready, so I set up appt for Sept 19;  Adrian came out again on Sept 19, mortared the new damper and bricks into place, and thoroughly cleaned the inside of the firebox to remove all of the old soot (that's a really messy, nasty job - lots of particulate matter in soot). I wanted the box clean so we could PAINT the interior of the firebox and use this new space to display art books, dried arrangements, (I haven't decided on a decorative feature just yet).  Adrian did a very thorough, careful, and mess-free job for us. The other 2 guys were very careful with getting the incredibly heavy insert removed and out of the room safely also. Everyone we dealt with at Mr. Chimney was great! What I thought was going to be a big bad job went much more quickly than I expected, and was I glad to pay $1400 to get ride of the insert - it was very much worth it!  Thank you MR. "Everything from the initial meeting, advice given on products to use, installation and follow up for minor details went well. The ladies in the office were always on the ball taking care of things like insurance certificates, estimates and billing too. The color chosen by the owner was not a standard color so it had to be custom mixed, then samples provided and approved. This took a bit more time and cost a bit more,but in the end the result looks great. The dark color was also a challenge to apply on some of the large walls during the hot weather. Kirt made sure to have enough guys on site so the whole walls were applied wet to ensure good color consistency. Any concerns we had on any spotty areas, or additional patching as we remodeled, were quickly addressed to the owner's satisfaction. <br /> All good in the end. Would definitely recommend and hire Golden State Stucco again. <br />"
