"Green Bay Remodeling was exceptional. I met with Danny Lebowski on my house project and he provided a great summary of all my options while answering all my question. The remodeling was quick and painless. The construction crew were friendly and professional. Danny was very detail oriented and made sure to address any and all details. Very good at keeping customer in the loop and doing quality work. The project was completed on the date projected. "Most construction is straightforward. Contractors go by the building code, which they all know very well — better than the city, in fact. Tiger/Shelby did a great job. We have no complaints with their work. <br /> But the city of Santa Clara is another story. We applied for permits in January, and they were finally issued <em>this month — October!</em> But the city building department is still making us jump through flaming hoops. They are <em>never</em> satisfied, and they routinely change their arbitrary rules. <br /> We got stuck with a new employee/bureaucrat: Suzanne Park. She is absent more often than she is at work, but no one takes her place. She has already learned that she is completely unaccountable. <br /> Suzanne will not ever make a commitment, but rather, she seems to want to reserve the right to cause us further delays at her whim. It depends on her mood, and she contradicts herself at times. <br /> She has often been wrong in the past, and that has cost us time and money as a result. But Suzanne is totally unaccountable, and she knows it. <br /> Apparently these bureaucrats have no superior, at least that we have been able to determine. No one takes her place when she is absent. She seems to take pleasure in causing us repeated, unnecessary delays. <br /> We are simply adding a bedroom, but due to the city’s bureaucracy our costs and completion time are far more than we originally planned. <br /> So to wrap up: Shelby and Tiger Construction is fine. They are very conscientious and they do very good work. But my advice is to move to another city before building an addition — unless you7're with the 49ers. Then it's all smooth sailing. <br /> <br />"

"From start to finish the experience was great. I was so happy with them that I did not do a price comparison. I feel I got my money's worth! I had an area that was just dirt where the patio should have been. When I bought my home, there was a rotty old deck covering this bare patch. I tried using flag stones and vegetation but it never really worked...so I finally called the cement guys to patch it up. <br /> First they gave me a rough estimate over the phone, which helped tremendously, to get a feel for what I would be looking at. Then Ignacio came out and inspected the area and gave me a formal proposal. I liked him immediately and felt confident to move forward. In my previous home I'd had extensive concrete done and knew enough to recognize a quality team. <br /> Sure enough, they came promptly the next day, worked all day and finished and cleaned up with no sign of their having been there. I really liked that they dug down deep, included rebar, and hand tinted the concrete for the final finish. It was exactly what I asked for, a smooth tinted finish. <br />  I still need to arrange the plants a bit, but Ignacio even volunteered to have a guy come back and help me! I am so impressed by their employees, who were courteous and very professional. The work is great. They did a really fine job trying to match a motley colored tile that covers the rest of the patio. I couldn't be happier and have already recommended them to a friend. <br />"

"Everything from the initial meeting, advice given on products to use, installation and follow up for minor details went well. The ladies in the office were always on the ball taking care of things like insurance certificates, estimates and billing too. The color chosen by the owner was not a standard color so it had to be custom mixed, then samples provided and approved. This took a bit more time and cost a bit more,but in the end the result looks great. The dark color was also a challenge to apply on some of the large walls during the hot weather. Kirt made sure to have enough guys on site so the whole walls were applied wet to ensure good color consistency. Any concerns we had on any spotty areas, or additional patching as we remodeled, were quickly addressed to the owner's satisfaction. <br /> All good in the end. Would definitely recommend and hire Golden State Stucco again. <br />"
