"I had a backup in my main sewer pipe and Jess Plumbing came out and did a thorough inspection, he then found that my main sewer pipe was incorrectly installed by the previous installer. To make a long story short, this guy knows what he is doing, has the equipment including cameras and an excellent team. They did an AMAZING job at a FAIR price. Replacing the main sewer pipe is no easy job, but they were able to do it and do it right. They also cleaned everything up at the end of the day and even planted back the plants that had to be removed during the process!"

Team: Victor, Ruben, Richard, Pedro, and I am sorry if I missed anyone...) from Mike Counsil Plumbing did a wonderful job with our main line sewer and installing new sewer lines! Victoria's manager, Glenn, is very nice and patient. He provides guidance to Victoria's team to diagnose our sewer lines, provide recommendations and detail estimation options to us. We feel comfortable working with Glenn and Victoria during this job, and I have learned a lot regarding proper sewer lines and water lines connections. Victoria also took me into our crawl space and showed me the new sewer line at the last phase of the job. Victoria and her team are really professional and they've provided excellent customer service experience! For all the jobs they have completed, Victoria will provide photos and let us know what the current status of the job each day. Victoria is very considerate and she makes sure that we are able to use kitchen and bathroom at the end of the day (They will temporary connect the lines), and we really appreciate that! They also make sure the working areas are cleaned and covered up properly each day (if there is a wall opened) since there are rodents from our neighbors’ backyard. Mike Counsil Plumbing and Victoria’s team is knowledgeable with the city laws, proper line connections, and permit requirement. I was surprised to see a plumbing company that has their own work inspector (In this case, Dan B., was the one who came to my house for the final inspection. Thank you Dan!) to make sure all the works are according to code and it was done correctly. The works that were done at my house require city permits. Victoria makes sure we feel comfortable with the city inspection and she was present at the inspection. The company representatives such as Sabrina and Marissa are very friendly and easy to talk to. Comparing to other plumbing company, their price may not be the cheapest, but I can really see the quality in their work (compare to another plumbing company we hired years ago…). I highly recommend Mike Counsil Plumbing because I can trust their work and truly see the quality! Thank you, Victoria and your team for all the hard work! =)"

"In and out plumbing is great!  Easy to make an appointment... called at 9pm and scheduled service for the following day.  Plumber Mike was on-time and polite.  After showing him our leaky shower faucet, he provided two quotes- one to replace parts, the second to upgrade the plumbing to today's standards (1955 house).  After a few minutes we opted for the former.  Unfortunately there was a bolt that seemed to be glued in and so the handle stems had to be cutt off (also explains why my husband couldn't unsrew it the evening before).  The replacement were of an old design therefore Mike warned us that it may be difficult to find at a store.  He spend 45 minutes looking for it that day and upon not finding it at open stores, returned at 9am sharp the following morning to pick up the broken part (which he had replaced the night before so that the water could be turned back on for us) and spent about 60 minutes away while at another store.  Luckily he was able to find the part and had the faucet fixed by 11am.  During the entire work Mike was kind, communicative and obviously working hard to successfully complete the job.

Additionally, another plumber, Steve from In and Out Plumbing provided service just a few days prior for another problem... a corroded pipe with a hole was leaking water from our kitchen drain.  Steve was also very polite, communicative about our options for the repair, and was able to replace 2 feet of piping in about 30 minutes. 

In and Out Plumbing has been great on two occasions!  We will definitely use them again if we have any more plumbing issues."

"Had leak overnight under BR sink and Chandler was 1st responder. Came out very quickly to repair/repair. Upon checking on leak evidence under house, found evidence of sewage &; water leakage/pipe corrosion &; we scheduled that repair for next day (different men). Job completed. Told owner that I want invoice detailing findings and work done, but all I received was e-receipts of totals I payed, ($220/$2500/$6000). He said he would send me either via email or hard copy by mail. I need for my house files. I am still waiting...but haven't contacted Ishmael Chandler since the 5/22-23/2023 job. Comment on personnel: Victor - great worker (fixed leakage). Mario and ? - Mario physically very dirty at 9a.m.) but very nice. Other man-fine. Both men very hard workers! Mario left quite a mess behind in my bathroom for me to clean up (toilet area from seal replacement)."

"Leo did a very extensive plumbing repair that required digging through my bathroom floor and replacing a huge pipe to the outside. He also prepared and installed piping and fixtures for a bathroom remodel. Always showed up when he said he would and had a great crew. Cleaned up as well. Would highly recommend."

"In & Out plumbing fixed a gas leak in our kitchen. They saved us from rashly buying a nee oven. They replaced the old feeder pipes with the more current hardware that is be sturdier, and seems like it will last longer. Price was a bit steep, but we were willing to pay for good work done on the same day we called them."

"Can not imagine a better response, starting with my call for assistance, response time and how the technician, Tad methodically diagnosed the problem. We have an obscure kitchen fixture that required service in Feb 2019. Under warranty the problem was easily diagnosed by me, a problem possibly caused by me and a replacement part sent and installed by Albert Nahman team. Problem: I broke the faucet cartridge. Current Problem: restricted hot water flow in this kitchen sink only. Turns out the new cartridge part is now malfunctioning. I called and Tad arrived taking a step by step approach ruling out possible causes: a clog here or there, build up of sediment, or blockage in the lines or cartridge. The company that sells the product got on the phone with Tad and they collaborated on the problem and the tech person gave Tad one more thing to try. After the collaboration it is agreed, problem persisted and therefore that new cartridge part is now malfunctioning and will be shipped free of charge in two days. Thanks to all, who made this possible and I trust we will have Tad here again soon to finalize this fix. BTW, cost of service was less than expected given going rates for such a call lasting in excess of one hour. Another comment, spending time with Tad during the repair was a pleasure to have him explain, collaborate, listen and just chat. Questions on who to call next time, no question who I will call next time. I have read criticism of costs: In the Berkeley area "How much does it cost to hire a plumber? Some plumbers have a minimum fee for a service call. They might charge anywhere from $175-250 to come out and give you a consultation. Plumbers may give you a general service rate of $128-148 per hour when there are a lot of unknowns about a project and they aren't sure how long it will take. Some charge a flat rate for their plumbing services. For example, you may get charged $175 for a sink or drain cleaning, while toilet installation costs $500." Today costs are upfront, same as charges in Feb, $69 to arrive and assess the problem. Here in excess of one hour for $129 minus $25 coupon, total charge $173. I am ok and I expected these costs. If I was in Philly, where I grew up, I could call an uncle or cousin and get a better rate, a family rate. This is going rate for our area."
