"<p> John and his team were professional at all times, from the bidding process through completion. A clean workplace was maintained and communications with neighbors about the project and expectations was excellent. John's designs were creative and very intuitive with the layout of our property, including items that we desired, all balanced with a more drought resistant landscape than previously existed. Arcadian also provided a quarterly maintenance program that protects our investment and was designed to enhance the overall look as the plants and trees mature, while maximizing coloring throughout the year. </p> <p>The base project was within budget and we requested a few change orders that enhanced the overall quality of the project. The pricing on the change orders was reasonable. John kept us informed on a timely basis as we were absent from the property for a great deal of time. We would definitely recommend Arcadian Gardens and would not hesitate to use them again. Our neighbors commented favorably on how diligent and hard working John and his team were. </p>"

"Suzanne and Mike were very accommodating and patient.I added work as we went along and they were able to get everything handled. I had an original quote for the work, but because of my changes and some issues that came up due to my changes, I went to time and materials. I was confident enough in them , and their employees to do this, rather than redoing my quote several times. And  I have no regrets. They had the same 3 employees working on my job, from start to completion. Jose, Augustine and Carlos, that worked with them. They were extremely hard workers, prompt, polite and very knowledgeable.  I was not a training ground for new employees. I am impressed by the fact that they didn't take shortcuts and the work done was very professional.  I will also be using them for maintenance on my yard. I have had a lot of positive feedback on my yard from neighbors and passersby. I love my new yard , and considering the amount of time, attention to details, quality of materials and professionalism, the price I paid was very fair. I highly recommend  Central Coast Earthscapes. <br /> <br />"

"Jose Zamora does excellent work and thus is much in demand. He had a three month backlog when I contacted him to quote the job. Now I understand the backlog is about 4 months. He runs a very professional operation and will send you a detailed contract to sign, along with his quote. He bid our work at about $10,000, which was comparable with the other quotes we received. I went with him because of the excellent recommendation he had on Angie's List and Yelp. Once he started, he and his helper put in full days and completed the job on time. Very hard working guys and excellent craftsmen."

"Terrific ! <br /> The company repaired my awning, removed concrete piers, set new concrete piers, set new 4x4 posts, painted awning, painted trim in the sunroom, painted the back fence, and did some plumbing service work. <br /> All the work was extremely well done, and all the employees with whom I spoke were highly knowledgeable and polite.   I am very pleased with the work.   I will call them again if I have any other work to be done. <br />"

"Angel was responsive to my inquiry by email. Came out for an estimate to install stock cabinets, counter top and sink as well as all the plumbing. The day he was scheduled to come to install he called me to explain he had made a mistake on his estimate and wanted to talk with me first because he said he would not just come to do the work then tell me, this was for $20.00! that impressed me a lot. He was so careful of my home protecting the area he worked in he did a quality job! He was efficient an organized."

"My back yard has a steep hill -- no, not the grassy knoll type -- but bedrock and clay. When the house was purchased in '96 everything was ok with the hill. However, age, among other factors, had not been kind to the wood retaining wall--it seemed to be dissolving more each year. Additionally, the steps leading to the deck [built into the hill about half way up] had been poorly constructed and were pusihing up from the ground. They were unsafe. <br /> A very good friend recommended Tolosa Gardens and Landscape. Came on Angie's list and there were a couple more good reviews. Enough said! <br /> I cannot begin to speak highly enough of Bill and his so very capable crew. They estimated the project at two weeks -- and completed it three days early. Each morning the guys arrived just prior to 8 a.m. to quietly set everything out -- and promptly hit the ground running at 8. They are knowledgable, experienced and very skilled professionals -- not to mention informative and good hurmored. <br /> Bill kept in contact by email and phone, as well as frequent visits to the backyard and quot;siteand quot;. Each day at quitting time everything was picked up, put away, or stacked neatly. <br /> Would I hire them again ? A resounding yes! . <br /> <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Santa Margarita, CA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
