"We hired Kennihans to replace the riser on our gas line just before the meter. This turned into a much more complicated job than expected. Throughout the entire job the crew on site was polite, hardworking, professional, and very competent. They encountered problem after problem which was not their fault, but due to the weird way the gas line was originally run. They adapted and worked out a great solution that both cost effective and saved all of my plantings. Huge thanks to Ryan, Brian, and Herb. The office staff was extremely helpful, responsive, and professional. They always called and let me know the day's plan and made sure the work was done properly. Gerry checked in frequently to make sure everything was being taken care of and were were satisfied. Now, they are not as cheap as that "guy your neighbor knows that could do the job," but you get what you pay for. I was extremely satisfied and would STRONGLY recommend them for any job."

"First of all, I can can do plumbing myself, but it usually involves more than a day or two and multiple trips to one of the big box stores. Since the tub hardware was old and corroded, I didn't want to take a chance of making things worse, so I decided to call in a professional; that the toilet started leaking was a (happy) coincidence for me, so he or she could do that at the same time. I contacted TruPlumbing and Tom was dispatched for the job... he contacted me to set up a time and date for the service call and also gave me a quote and the option to buy my own parts for the job, telling me what was needed, Tom arrived on time and had both jobs completed in a few hours; he was very professional, covered his shoes so as not to track dirt into the house, and explained what all he had done. "I highly recommend Tomayko Bros. for your plumbing projects or issues. We had a new tankless water heater installed by these guys and they did a fantastic job! I had other companies give me estimates, and they were way out of line. Tomayko Bros. gave us a fair price and took care of everything. They did a professional job in less time that they estimated. This included modification of the water lines, gas lines, and installing supply and exhaust air piping. I have done this kind of work for over Forty years, but I'm too old to do this anymore (70 years old). These men have the old school work ethics you look for in a contractor, and they love their work. I have two more projects to have done and I will certainly hire them to do them."

"In the end, I'm very pleased with my bathroom. It looks great and I feel that I received good value for my money. Which is why I'd recommend and hire again. However -- I have seen houses go up faster than my little bathroom updates were completed. First the estimate -- Bob came out right away and promised me an estimate that night or the next morning, but it was several days later that I received a not-very-professional estimate (I'm used to line items in an estimate so I know what the costs are... and I should have insisted on a time frame for completion). Next the glass (3 weeks became more like 6 due to issues with the first vendor and other unknown reasons. My guess is that the owner is not as organized as he could be and things fall through the cracks and were forgotten for a few days or more). That being said -- he was EXTREMELY responsive... no text or call went more than five minutes without being returned. He also was certain to make sure I was happy, replacing a few tiles I thought might be cracked and in general wanting to have a satisfied customer which I am. Steve -- who did the work -- was very friendly, punctual, and professional. Finally, I think his price was very fair and my bathroom went from looking like an afterthought to a showpiece. If time is not an issue, I'd hire Avalon again. If it is, I still might hire them -- but I'd get them to commit to a timeline and stick to it."

He vented 2 bathroom fans to the outside, instead of the attic; replaced a GFCI outlet in bathroom; replaced 2 wired smoke detectors; adjusted 5 doors that didn't close properly; drywalled 2 holes in basement ceiling/wall; added styrene panels to 3 light fixtures in the basement; replaced kitchen lazy susan hinges; completely rebuilt and stained porch railing."
