The initial phone call was very informative, then they came on-site for a walk-thru and provided an itemized estimate we could understand. "I researched 4 companies to fully encapsulate a crawlspace damaged by flooding and rats. I also did a lot of research into possibly doing it myself so i knew what to look for. John's was the most expensive, but they were all in the same general ballpark. I was put off by some of the competitors marking insulation as "extra" and not including in their initial estimate. Insulation is required! John's costs a bit more but you get more too: John's insulated the entire floor with wrapped foam pads, dug a drain trench around the entire perimeter, jacked up every concrete pier to slide vapor barrier underneath the posts, and used proper mechanical fasteners on all of the wall insulation boards. Every nook and cranny was sealed with spray foam. The workers were amazing. They did not cut any corners. They nipped and tucked every tight little spot and never complained or made excuses. They built a plastic clean-tunnel every day and took it down down every afternoon. They did not leave behind trash. My crawlspace is clean enough to literally eat off the floor now. I would recommend John's if you want your job done correctly."

The hose bib had split open inside the wall of our house, the water had been turned off at the curb, and we were desperate to flush toilets, wash our hands, and make coffee, among other things. The drainage project was complicated because our area does not connect with public drainage. Jason determined the best solution and drew out plans for us to understand his concept. We were worried that many of our plants would be ruined because of the amount of trench work that had to be done to lay the drainage pipe down. Despite having to take all the plants up, they were all put back in place and are doing well. Even our gardener was surprised at how carefully the plants were re-planted, and fared well.
