"I originally contacted the company in early November 2013 to give me an estimate to repair a broken pane of an insulated window in my home.  An appointment was quickly set up for someone to come out and cost the job.  My roommate met the consultant to explain the job and  I received the estimate the next day via email along with a courtesy phone call from the office, explaining the process to get the ball rolling.  I liked that  full payment was expected after the job was completed.  The price seemed reasonable so I went ahead and confirmed with them to have them do the window repair.  I was told the glass would have to be ordered and that usually within 3 - 4 weeks it would arrive.  Once it arrived, an installation appointment would be made shortly thereafter.  Sounded great.  A couple of months went by without a word from the company.  As it was in the dead of winterr I decided to just wait until  until warmer weather returned before searching for another company to come out and do the work.  The room didn't seem any colder than normal despite the inside pane of glass being broken.  Eventually I got a call from Alderfer in late February apologizing for long delay.  Apparently it had been a very busy season for them, which I can imagine with the really harsh winter our area had this season.  They wanted to schedule the installation right away if I was still interested.  I was hesitant, but wanted to get this off my to-do list so agreed to go ahead and scheduled to have the repair done.  Made an appointment for the upcoming Monday.  Of course another big snow storm was predicted so the office called and wanted to reschedule for another day.  When I got the nice lady in the office on the phone we rescheduled for the following Friday.  The installer called me 30 minutes before he was to arrive  as promised.  That gave me plenty of time to meet him at my home.  He was really friendly and took care not to drop broken glass in the home while he took the window out to his truck to repair.  He even put the cardboard we had tapped on the window to prevent the cats from hurting themselves up in the window to keep much of the heat from escaping.  He repaired the window and re-installed it pretty quickly.  He then removed the screen and redid that.  Whole job took about 40 minutes or so.  He cleaned the area and put the furniture back before he left.  He asked if it was OK for the office to bill me and I said that would be fine.  Got the bill in the mail about a week later and sent off the check.  Overall, I was satisfied.  It would have bee nice to to have had some communication to let me know they were backed up.  But they were apologetic about it.  Just glad that I got the window repaired.

"Both Eugene and Maurice did an excellent job adjusting the glass shower doors in two bathrooms. We had tried doing the job ourselves but couldn't get the doors to stay put. We had called other contractors but they either didn't return our calls or the job was too small for them. FINALLY, our shower doors are easy to open! What a relief! He came to the house on a Sunday afternoon, measured and emailed me an estimate the next morning. His price was fair and he said he could have the window in by Wednesday (closing was Thursday). When installing the window, Manny ran into a problem. He went ahead and got what he needed to complete the job and was back at the house at 6AM Thursday morning, just hours before the buyer's final walk through. The buyer never noticed. "I have a 2 story breakfast area that actually had a chandelier hanging down but was a nuisance and very ugly. I figured instead of having another chandelier put in its place it was suggested that we put in recessed lights using the LED dimmable bulbs. Sounded like a great idea. I was having my 2 story foyer and breakfast area ceiling painted (one continuous ceiling) and figured before it was painted I might as well have the chandelier removed and the recessed lighting installed. I originally called my regular electrician but their quote was quite higher than what I expected to spend so I went to Angie's and I called R. J. He came out and gave me a quote for half of what my regular electrician was going to charge me so I set up the appointment for the same day the painters were starting. R.J. called me that morning and informed me that one of his crew was out sick and the other was having car problems and wanted to know if he could reschedule. I informed him that the painters were starting and it would be kind of difficult for them to work around this and he said, "ok, hold on for a bit and let me see what I can arrange and I'll call you back and let you know if we can get out there". About an hour later he called and said he would be out there by 11:30 and he was. He really came through. He explained to his crew what was to be done and informed me that they would only be a few hours. His crew members that performed the work were very thorough, efficient, polite and neat. They did a great job of the installation and of the clean up. By the time they were done you would have never known that there had been a chandelier hanging in the same spot. I will definitely use R. J. Little again in the future since I still have a several electrical updates/needs to complete. He and his crew were great!"

"I was amazed. We had 10 new windows replaced, and after working a 10 hour day, I was dreading going home & cleaning for the next 10 hours. But when I walked inside my home you didn't even know they were there. everything was placed back to where it belonged, there was no mess to vacuum. There also was no mess outside, my garden was not even touched. The only thing I had to do was wash the windows and hang the curtains. They were very nice & polite, professional men who installed the windows. The windows themselves are 100% perfect. We could not be happier and could kick ourselves for not doing it sooner. They gave us a date in July for Installation. They arrived in May."

"Dan and his son Tyler did an outstanding job. The basement was broken up in separate spaces including a 22' by 7' area which will double as a plant room during the winter time. He installed a counter and sink in this space and added a floor to ceiling built in bookshelf. To close off this area from the main space, he also installed a barn door which looks great. In the main area the work was done to perfection. The bathroom is a little jewel and we could not be happier with the work that was done. Dan and Tyler also went above and beyond when they moved furniture from the main floor to the basement and also put up additional shelves for us. I told Dan to pencil us in for the same time next year to update our main bathroom!"

"They really are not that good because the work they did started to deteriorate quickly after they did it. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. The price was very reasonable and they also did some exterior painting for me as well. The interior painting was not as professional as I thought it could have been but they were quick to respond to my needs. They were punctual."

"My experience with Kip and his team was exceptional. From the first contact Kip was professional. He was responsive, easy to get a hold of, and he was accommodating to my schedule. We agreed to a price, signed the contract, and set up a schedule with the understanding that both ($ and time) may change depending on the degree of water damage behind the shower. Dealing with contractors in the past I expected the worse, you know the overly inflated add on price you have no choice to take since your home is torn apart and an undetermined amount of time added on, but that was not the case at all. The job originally was scheduled for approximately 4 days and only took 5 1/2 days total! Mike, our tech, even came out on Saturday to be sure that the job stayed on schedule. Obviously, due to the extent of the damage the total cost of the job did increase but Kip and Mike worked together to be sure they stayed as close to our budget as possible and I am confident in the decision we made. Mike was friendly and very respectful of my home and belongings. He communicated with me through each stage to be sure I was in the loop. In between times when Mike had to wait for something to dry and such instead of standing around doing nothing, he offered to complete minor projects, like replacing 2 or 3 electrical outlets that my Husband kept putting off doing (haha). He even helped my husband move a rather large and bulky Arcade game from the basement! I work in Property Management and have dealt with many contractors of all kinds and I must say Millenium Kithcen and Bath Remodeling proved that there are still good, hard working, honest businesses/people out in the world, and that not all contractors are alike. I look forward to hiring Millenium in the future for any projects we may have."
