"Rescue plumbing really rescued me! I had a clogged kitchen sink, I cleaned the traps blew out the pipes but just couldnâ t get the sink to drain. I spoke to Cody and he was so helpful and knowledgeable he sent Ari out the next day and he fixed it within 20 minutes he was very knowledgeable and explained everything gave a bunch of tips and recommendations. "Yes, DJ went above and beyond for us in our home that we just purchased. It needed a lot of plumbing work and he was fast to respond with estimates and come out to give us different options and scenarios on how to approach each project. He came out three different times for us and worked around our schedules. He installed a new kitchen sink, fixed the piping and plumbing under the sink, and installed a new shower valve. He was fast, efficient and fair. He offered the ability to pay with a card as well. We will be using his services in the near future."

"torn between 2 &4 stars but went with 2 only because I feel the cost exceeded in my opinion a reasonable cost to replace with a basic 40-gallon electric hot water heater based on the cost I paid two months ago to have a new eclectic 70-gallon high efficiency heat pump water heater and expansion tank installed. We had no time to shop around.... 4 stars for the prompt repair and 2 stars on the pricing."

"We met Dan months before the project was scheduled to start and he knew our deadline was 7/9 when our first weekly vacation renter was due to arrive. Our main issues were: He was a week late starting Didn't show up on several days (had to take his son to get his COVID shot, several days it was too hot, heavy traffic, etc) Ignored my detailed instructions/drawings and we lost time because he plumed a double vanity for only 1 sink, told us we could buy any standard shower door from Lowe's only to learn AFTER the shower had been framed that it required a custom built door, forgot to tile the accent color stripe in the shower, miscalculated the amount of shower tile needed requiring me to drive 3 hours RT to purchase extra tile and deliver it to him. Skim coat on the ceiling was done poorly, the door to the bathroom didn't open all the way so we had to hire someone after Dan left to shave it down for us. He was supposed to finish by July 9th and didn't finish until Sept 9th!!!! had to give renters $3000 off because they had no toilet or shower. I split the difference with him and took $1500 off his bill and he was not happy. I should have taken the entire amount off. He might be OK for smaller jobs, but he is not focused enough and doesn't work a full day (usually 8 AM -1 PM) or even a full week. If he takes work outside of NH, he should have his plumbing/electrical license so he doesn't have to rely on outside contractors. We suffered because he didn't hold ME licenses and wasn't well connected w/ local contractors in ME."

"I hired Merrimack Valley Plumbing to install a boiler in my home, and my experience was overwhelmingly disappointing. While the boiler functions, the installation process and quality of work raised numerous red flags. I want to share my experience to help others make an informed decision when considering this company. Installation Issues Code Violations: The exhaust is less than 3 feet from the gas meter, and the holes drilled in the joists for intake and exhaust are less than 2 inches from the bottom, both of which do not meet code requirements. Improper Venting: Both the exhaust and intake vents are installed too close to the ground (not meeting the 12-inch clearance required for expected snowfall) and are too close to each other (less than the 12-inch separation required). Unsealed Penetration: The hole drilled in the siding was left unsealed, creating a potential entry point for rodents. Condensate Drain Issues: The installed condensate pump is leaking and wasn’t tested. Additionally, rather than a permanent drain installation, they daisy-chained it into a pump for a portable air conditioner. Wiring Errors: The zones for the primary bedroom and second floor were wired backward, causing overheating in both areas. Missing Outdoor Sensor: The outdoor temperature sensor, critical for proper operation, was not installed. No CO Alarm: A carbon monoxide alarm was not installed, which is essential for safety. Unprofessional Workmanship: Trash, including a metal duct pipe, was left in the crawl space near live electrical wires. Process Concerns Permit Delays: The company failed to file permits before starting work. I only discovered this after contacting the town permitting office myself. Mismanagement and Delays: The project stretched far beyond the promised timeline, with repeated excuses about missing parts and limited crew availability, despite prior assurances that the job would be completed in two days. Broken Promises: They claimed a project manager would take measurements in advance to ensure a smooth installation, but no one came. Additionally, they rescheduled initially, promising a larger crew, only to send a single plumber on the first day. Misinformation and Deception Throughout the project, I encountered multiple instances where Merrimack Valley Plumbing provided misleading or false information: - They lied about the dates permits were filed. - They claimed delivery issues caused delays, though they should have anticipated these based on the advance photos provided. - They repeatedly shifted blame rather than taking accountability for the delays and issues. Overall Experience While the boiler itself works, the installation was riddled with code violations, safety oversights, and poor workmanship. Additionally, the company’s lack of transparency and repeated dishonesty made an already frustrating situation worse. I would not recommend Merrimack Valley Plumbing to others. Their lack of professionalism, disregard for safety codes, and failure to take responsibility for their mistakes created an unnecessarily stressful and costly experience."
