"The refurbishing of a master bathroom has been a nightmare. The project was rather simple: remove and replace fiberglass shower/tub enclosure, remove sheetrock and re-install new sheetrock, remove existing vanity sink and replace, install shower faucet and shower head, vanity faucet. They provided an estimate of 8 days to complete the job. It has taken many weeks and not even done adequately. It is so bad that I have to hire another contractor to pull out the shower walls and re-install new ones. They ruined it with their sloppy installation and not following instructions. When they apparently tried to fix it – it just looked worse and worse. Their plumbing sub-contractor made a big blunder and did not seal the pipe for the new tub faucet. This caused water to come through the ceiling onto the first floor and they had to replace a bunch of sheetrock in the kitchen. They removed all the towel bars in the bathroom for the new sheet rock but somehow managed to lose one…and came up with a BS story that there was only one in there. That didn’t fly so the story changed to that it had to be destroyed when the sheetrock was removed. Another BS story as we were in the house when this happened and would have seen it being carried out. The mudding of the bathroom was sloppy, see photo of the light switch. The caulking is even worse – much of it is missing or just very poorly applied. That all had to be removed and re-done. There are too many other issues to list but we’ll be spending another $4,400 to fix the mess they left. I urge you to learn from our encounter and avoid them – it was NOT a professional job, the staff were mostly untruthful and often rude."

"The electrician DROVE ON MY GRASS along most of my long driveway because his apprentice parked on the other side of the driveway instead of in one of my MANY parking places on 5 acres. B-more was hired to do 3 things. 1. Replace main breaker - that went fine, but they did not tell me time about fees for power cut off/permit until I got the bill. 2. Add boxes for dining room lights. a. He installed the wrong size boxes (5 inches instead of 4 inches) so I had to BUY DIFFERENT LIGHTS. b. One of the boxes was too small for the hole, so he had to come back and replace that one. 3. Move switch location. a. He was told no junction box, which he ignored (we were not there when he finished because he kept running to Lowes and we had plans, so our daughter was there). He had to come back and do as we asked. b. He did not put in the correct 3-way switch so one switch did not work, he had to come back for that too. They charge by the hour and it seems I was charged for his inefficiencies, contrary to what the owner said when I complained about all of this. After complaining, the owner gave us a 10% military discount that I was not offered originally."

They left the area clean and the install looks very professional. Unit works great; it was 90 degrees the day after the install and the unit did its job and kept the house cool."

"I hired Eastside construction To Tape and texture 2 Hallways and a master bedroom, closet and bath. The taper Tom was personable but was the Sloppiest Taper I have ever been around. I have been in the trades since 1972. i requested that Tom scrape out the corners before shooting the texture at least three times, this was done half heartedly. I mentioned to Tom he was the sloppiest taper I had ever seen and asked who was going to clean up his mess. He replied Dean usually sends a crew around, but that was between me and Dean. There was no cleanup crew supplied by Dean. there are several areas that were not sanded properly and texture was shot anyway. I only saw these areas while I was painting. I would never hire this company again. The mess Tom Made and tracked through our house was inexcusable. My wife and I covered our floors, taped off the outlets, installed zipper doors to help keep the dust down. Tom belongs on a Commercial jobsite not an occupied home. I won't make this mistake again.
