When a leak recently appeared, a plumber discovered the shower pan had been improperly installed from the start and that the entire shower needed to be redone. Bathroom Buddy had since been acquired by PJ Fitzpatrick, and to their great credit, they immediately acknowledged the problem, honored the original lifetime warranty, and completely rebuilt the shower—pan, walls, everything. The workmanship was excellent and noticeably better than the original installation. Because the rebuild slightly changed dimensions, we also incurred costs to replace the glass shower doors and repair ceiling damage below. After explaining this in a letter, PJ Fitzpatrick went above and beyond and reimbursed us in full for those additional expenses—despite not being the company that did the original work. "The company replied quickly and gave an estimate as requested. We were quoted for 2 new shut offs and 3-5 replacement shut offs. The plumber only brought 5 fittings, but he gave me the option to run to Home Depot to get more... I was also instructed to replace a hose which wasn?t leaking until after the repair, but it was easily fixed when I suggested to connect the new hose to the pipe rather than to the leaking hose. Sharkbite valves were installed. If I knew they were going to be used, I would have done the work myself. The plumber was proficient with the Sharkbites, I just expected that a pro plumbing company would solder. When the plumber left, there were no leaks, and I didn?t feel like making an issue of the other 2 valves which I wanted installed."
