"They came and found the problem in one day and came back with a replacement. The whole company is so polite. The plumbers came the first trip and were clean and professional. Offered to wear masks. They explained to us why the replacement was necessary. Then they came back this am at 9:00 with a new water heater. They had two different people hear today. neat, polite, cleaned up their mess."

"It went great. They came out and took care of back up in less than 30mins. Scheduling wise, they weren't available until middle of week. It would have been great to do same day or next day. I would recommend them and use them again without any hesitation but know to schedule out."

"If I could James (the owner) ZERO stars I would. Contacted him through home warranty service for an emergency plumbing repair as the expert plumber who could scope the line and detect the location of the leak that was causing sewer water to run under several floors in the house. He did not scope the line. Instead he said we had to demolish the wall where he expected the leak to be, then he would return. We demolished all walls where he said it would be and texted him pictures in the wall. He was supposed to return on Saturday morning. Then it became sometime Saturday. Then it became Sat or Sun. Meanwhile, water was still destroying more and more of the house. Then he ignored all calls and texts. (None were rude!) On Monday, we were finally able to contact him and he said he no longer wanted to do the repair. We lost a several days trying to stop sewer water from infiltrating our home. This is absolutely disgusting and all he did was complain when he first arrived that he wouldn't get paid enough to fix the problem. Definitely avoid this company!"

"The house is 45 years old and copper piping was used for the drains. It had total disintegrated and needed to be replaced. Meeks was the only plumbing company to agree to take the job. They were able to relocate the entire drain system from under the slab to the outside of the foundation without having to break through the floor inside of the house. <br /> The man that ran the job was excellent. He was a very hard worker, new what he was doing and stayed late several days. He was pleasant to deal with and made sure everything was returned to excellent shape. <br /> I highly recommend them for a job of this magnitude.  <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Silver Springs, FL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
