The workers that performed the installation were very friendly and even played with my puppy dog and let him out while I was gone- I really appreciated that gesture. They also warranted the new plumbing system for 10 years, which I find to be very important because it makes me feel like they stand behind their product. Every interaction with them has been incredibly professional and they go above and beyond. I always feel like they have genuine concern that I am happy with their work, and I will definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs.

"This company is so courteous, honest, responsive and the work is perfect. Replaced all pipes in the house with PEX, replaced outside faucets, installed new water heater. Left no mess, and any cutting into the wall was made in a very inconspicuous manner, left covered by small plastic plates. The staff are very helpful and respond very quickly. "I hired another company to replace the water pipes in my attic last January and they made an unbelievably huge mess out of everything that they touched. The hot/cold pipes were switched on several spigot, my washing machine and my toilet; some spigots were cut off completely and I think they used the wrong size pipes as the pressure in the kitchen was extremely low. It was so low that I couldn't use the hose that I usually use to clean my fish tanks and turtle tanks. There wasn't enough water pressue to create suction to drain the tanks. I was having to use buckets to clean the tanks which is a HUGE, back breaking pain when you have a 125 gallon tank.
Steve at Great Texas has worked on several issues over several months fixing what the other plumber screwed up. This time Steve switched the hot/cold connections on an outside spigot since it was hooked to hot water by the other plumber--and I couldn't use it to water my plants. He also cleaned out the lines in the kitchen trying to get more pressure to the faucet and fridge. He figured out that the filter in the fridge was causing the low water and no ice in the fridge so I replaced that and now it works fine. I thought the ice machine was broken and was about to call a fridge repair person.
I also ended up buying a new kitchen faucet since the other was probably 35 years old and corroded. Steve installed thatand it is working great. I've got much better pressure and can use my hose to clean the fish/turtle tanks again. Whew.
Last year, when I had a leak in a pipe that caused my den ceiling to fall, Steve came out and patched up the pipe and didn't even charge me for it. When I discovered a water leak coming through the ceiling in a front bedroom at 10:00 pm, I left a message on Great Texas' voicemail and Steve called me back that night to tell me how to turn off the water. He came out the next day to fix it. That leak turned out to be water overflowing the AC pan---which he was able to fix because they do AC work too.
I call Great Texas when I need any plumbing, electrical or AC work. They are very honest and won't tell me that something needs to be replaced if it doesn't. I've been ripped off by so many other contractors, I really appreciate that.

"This review involves the handling of a leaking water heater issue through American Home Shield (AHS). After contacting AHS, they assigned Lindsay Plumbing to address the issue. Lindsay reached out to me on the same day and immediately scheduled an appointment. I was told that I would be contacted by Chad relative to a Friday, 8:00 am appointment. On September 7, 2018, Chad called and advised he would be at my residence at 8:00 am. He arrived promptly at 8:00 am on that day. He introduced himself and we went to the upstairs 2nd floor attic. While in the attic, I could hear him talking to an AHS representative, advising them of the problem and discussing what parts he would need to replace the water heater. Once he was downstairs, we discussed the heater needing to be replaced. I also received a call from AHS advising me what my out of pocket cost (permit, parts and labor) would be, and that they would take care of the replacement water heater. Chad scheduled the following Friday for the work. The following Friday, Chad and his associate arrived promptly at 8:00 am. and immediately got to work. Chad and his associate worked in the attic removing the old and replacing the new water heater. It took them about an hour to complete the installation and removal of the old water heater. Chad provided me with the requisite paperwork relative to the new water heater and indicated that his office would be scheduling a City inspection the following week. Overall, both gentlemen were very professional, and cordial. They did an excellent job. As a footnote, I learned that I would be heading out of town the following week. I contacted Lindsay to expedite the city inspection. I spoke to Sherrie. I advised her of my situation. She told me that she would be calling the City Inspectors office to see when she could arrange before I left town. Within minutes, I received a voice mail back from Sherrie advising me that she had scheduled an afternoon appointment with the City Inspectors office, within the next two days. The inspector come out two days later and issued my permit. Again, I applaud the professionalism exhibited by all persons with Lindsay that handled this matter."

"Jose brought a team and they began working on replacing the smoke detectors, replacing the diverter and tub stopper - which turned into a trial as the diverter was an old piece and he had to go all over town to find a replacement. He installed electrical GFCI outlets in the kitchen, two baths, one in garage and one outside - and went above and beyond by replacing the receptacle housings as well. He also found a leak behind the tub and repaired it after asking permission. the cost was very reasonable and it would have cost me three times as much with a plumber. I would use Jose again and have recommended him to my realtor and other friends. Great job!"
